Title was so damn misleading. There was more violence on the radio and tvs in the background of the movie than in the actual story.

why am I JUST now hearing about this movie? I'm seeing the commercials tonight, and it looks so piff. is this limited release??
Watching the movie made me feel like i skipped to the middle and started from there. Should of been 45-60 min longer.

casino is better than goodfellas.
plus, I rank it behind godfather I and two, and above once upon a time in america.
i put goodfellas in those smaller style gangsta films.
that was just so good.
it was given precedent to be includled with movies like godfather to good fellas.
Donnie Brasco,and other smaller time gangsta mob films.
when, it comes to non-domestic style gangsta movies like lock stock to snatch and the limey to dom.
I look at goodfellas at being the top of the heap in the middle of the road mob flicks to the guy ritchie/imported style gangsta flicks.
I don't think goodfellas is on the same plane as godfather I and II, casino or once upon a time.
imo, I feel city of god is better than all of them, anyway.
plus, any film ever made, too.

This is NOT a gangster flick. Don't expect anything of the sort.
I was a little disappointed in this film after coming in with high expectations. It hurts to say, but I really didn't care for Chastain's performance. Can't really put a finger on why, exactly, but it always felt a bit off to me. I never bought into their relationship either.

this movie's story just goes NO WHERE interesting, that's its problem. well shot well acted
see I think the shyt was good because it didnt get all the way carried away with that mob/gangster bs
I felt like the premise of this movie throughout
was how far are these a$$holes gonna push this guy before he completely loses it and gets into some true to life gangster shyt? and that fact that he doesnt for the most part and keeps his cool and his integrity was what made a nice lil flik for me.
