What jeans was costing $1700, $1800 in the 90’s :mjlol: shyt is a lot now then it would be astronomical

Its not a good thing its cool fly in the 90’s was affordable
Breh probably still shop at Burlington Coat Factory, no sense in arguing with him. :flabbynsick::flabbynsick:The real flex shyt in the 90’s was like the official 8 Ball leathers by Michael Hoban, they retailed for like $800 back in 1990. Or the shearlings in the early 90’s. And like I said before Versace silk shirts cost a grip. But the thing is that stuff was for actual ballers and playas back then.

The hood celebrities and actual celebrities wore that shyt and only broke that stuff out during the right occasion. Nowadays, nikkas and everybody and anybody dressing like they stepped off IG to go the damn grocery store or the mall. :snoop:Biggie was wearing silk Versace on a yacht, not going to Walmart on Sunday at 5pm.

All that stuff is relative cheap to today. Today, folks paying $600 for a t shirt, $1000 for a hoodie, $1000 for one pair of kicks and $2000+ for a coat. :what:All of those urban brands excluding Avirex/Pelle Pelle leathers, Coogi sweaters and Iceberg History were affordable. Back in the 90’s, it was $30 for a Phat Farm t shirt, $65 for some Maurice Malone jeans, $600 for an Avirex leather, $110 for some Jordans, $100 for some Timbs, $70 for some Forces. Flightposites were considered breaking the bank at $160.

Even when adjusted for inflation on 90’s gear prices, today’s prices for clothes and shoes is plain retarded. :beli:People using afterpay to cop worn designer kicks for a slight discount these days. No comparison. I blame cacs. All this retarded pay $1000 for hyped up sweatshop quality shyt started when cacs gentrified the sneaker game and streetwear game around the turn of the decade.
No shyt ... :dead: ......bruh like I said this is 2024....you took an economics class right..... inflation is a bytch ...in the 90's phat farm sold coats for $650... At that time it was expensive.... especially for a street wear brand.....what are you not comprehending??....:russ:...
The high-quality clothes range in price from $650 for a "butter" leather jacket to $25 for one of many T-shirts with designs of dice, hoes, barns, cows and silos. There are also $70 hooded sweatshirts and $50 khakis

You weren't around in the 90's....just say that....at that time the clothing was expensive....

I was around in the 90’s and he’s right, materialistic has existed in every era but not as extreme as it is now with us. Even in the early 2000’s a $300 velour track suit, or a $250 authentic jersey and you was the man. Now it’s $2000 fendi sweaters, $1500 balenciaga sneakers, bytch gotta have $5000 Chanel handbag.

I just turned 40...I loved and miss the late 90s. I was a teen and the music, the fashion (I always loved that late 90s NYC street fashion), the movies, television...pre pre social media. Ish was beautiful.

Loved Mecca, PNB Nation Phat Farm...wishing, begging, praying to get an Avirex but my parents wasn't paying $500 for no coat

Felt simpler, but it was materialistic too tho. You better had SOME kind of name on ya shirt, or jeans.

Now I will say, it seems like labels aren't as big a thing, minus designer...these youngins just go for a certain "look", it could come from FashionNova or HnM or Zara/Forever 21, etc.

I miss that 90s having Polo, Nautica, Tommy Hil, along with those street or "urban" brands mentioned above (and others) "meant something"

Like Gucci, Prada, and Fendi etc were for the "rich" folk. IDK, I'm just rambling at this point but I do miss that late 90s vibe...took the turn to me around 2000-2001 ish got a lil weird...

Early 90s was fukking dope.

Just people having a good time and vibin.

Cats actually had a better sense of the color wheel when they dressed and dope design.

Before the fashion industry got a hold of hip-hop and marked everything up with basic, mediocre/corny shyt. Yeah it costs more money, but looks goofy.

Like what? You think $650 from 1999 is expensive compared to today where nikkas wear LV jackets worth $10k to the grocery store. I got leathers worth as much as used cars. You come off as a lame sneakerhead with no drip.

The difference is back in the 90's, things that cost more cost more because of the quality or grade of fabric. Leathers of good quality warrant a $1000 price tag. There is no reason a hoodie, a t shirt or a single pair of sneakers should cost a stack. If something has 1:1 reps for less $200, it's not worth $1000+ retail or resale.
