Da city where the skinny nikkas die
i had a lot of stuff typed up but it boils down to the fact that blacks don't trust other black people.

we have to be the least trusting race internally.

I would argue that its a result of worrying about how white america thinks of us but all other minorities have that same issue. I just dont see trust in the black community. we're so divisive.

we don't trust each other because there is no common culture that we all practice. Go into any predominantly black neighbourhood..... we have different ideologies, different religions, different philosophies, etc. etc. etc. what is that common thing that binds us? what is our culture? what does it even mean to be black? we haven't DEFINED these things. We haven't even defined who "WE" includes. Tommy Knocks, mentioned that when it comes to segregation one thing that worries him is infiltration...me too. But it's hard to fight infiltration when you don't know who is who. At the end of the day, I want to echo the sentiments of Twism13....we do need to change the culture...the question is how do we go about it?

There is no debate.. MLK started to change his views so he was murdered. He was being more radical.. they already hated him, but he had to die when he stopped being the lesser of a few evils for the cac institutions.

Oh shyt I remember this bank. My mom had a CD account with them when I was a kid, whatever happened to them? :ooh:
They used to be off crenshaw, and had a sick gold faceless statue in the front. memories. :wow:

Check em out and see if they still around, if so check out their programs there and see if they are worth moving to. I'm liking what I am reading about this bank so far, so they may be a good place to start with this movement.

Considering after the age of 12, I've always lived in a multicultural environment, currently living abroad. It's sad to say, but after this TM incident, and thinking back during the golden days, I think the OP might be right. It may be time for a bit of segregation. It's sad to say that out loud.

The only problem I have with that is the infiltration. The system will always spy, and always keep tabs, and will always feel the need to fukk with it (80s crack). They just have an issue with a strong black community, not white people, but the system. They feel threatened by it. IF there could be an agreement, it could work in bettering the nation. Let black teachers teach black kids, let black cops patrol their streets, black lawyers and judges. but something about saying that out loud seems regressive rather than progressive. Cant quite put my finger on it. but at the same time I know it would work a lot better than things are now in the urban community. The trust is lost with outsiders.

Word breh. :salute:

And don't get it twisted, I'm not advocating separation of the races, I'm talking about uniting ours.

Money and economic power can help instill that sense of pride in our community. Hopefully give us the same push it did in the 60s and early 90s - BLACK PRIDE. Remember that sh1t...

I'm not letting this go fam. I have a pretty heavy work week this week, but I will try to have a group created on here and on FB by the weekend. I want to start centralizing this movement and start spreading the word. More details to come. In the meantime, let's keep this thread alive, try to attract more folks.

THIS is the thing we need to stress. I'm a man of the world and want to work in entertainment, so I fukk with all races. But I've always been about black unity. We'll be better for it as a people. Seeing that page with a black Board of Visitors at the bank did something to me.

on top of that i think what went wrong is that we started using integration as a measuring stick for progress and using civil rights as if it was an actual economic plan

like why is it a bad thing if a school or city is 80-90 percent black, that should be a great opportunity for black people but we look at it as something bad
Wrong, i went to a school in the south and it was 100% black and the school sucked, it was behind the times and very outdated, it was an opportunity to stay behind, if you can have the level of classes and education being given equally all around then yes. But if the school is offer 2nd and 3rd rate education, then you just put a generation behind. What you want is a black school that pushed beyond white schools stress more education and skill levels that are offered in their schools, remember we have to gave too be twice as better than them to get a job. Now before you say, we have to create our businesses and banks and all that, it is too late for that dream, right now we can prepare this generation too be better and they can reach those goals. I am sick of hearing about this all black everything right now, it is too late, next generation is the hope, look back at some of the threads made on her, do you really think this generation can do anything? I mean you had the dumbest thread in history on here about black women growing afros again, like that is some next level stuff, afros are a hairstyle not a cultural thing, samething as the dummy who made the thread on Jay Z and why doesn't wear a white t and baggy jeans anymore and that he dresses like a hipster, he is a wealthy man with money and talent, he can dress anyway he wants, but guys on here saying appearances don't matter, yes it does if you don't have the talent and skill to perform a job at that level. Same thing applies to this matter, we need to at a higher level to compete for anything, Asians get it, Indians get it. Imagine the day when when blacks flooed the market with doctors, lawyers and financial fields, imagine flooding the real estate markets, you can have your black money communities when we do this, you don't want unskilled morons running your businesses white or black or latin. Job skills and education is the only agenda i support as of right now.
