We really put the 2 worst people for this historical moment into the Whitehouse. Legislation aside, they appear to be asleep at the wheel as we head towards our appointment with full on fascism.

I’m already over this administration. Maybe the best thing Biden and Harris have to offer is their inability to win next cycle clearing the deck for real political energy.
So who would have beaten Trump in the general election?

As far as no police reform, no fillbuster change to pass voting rights, and other issues, people should have seen that coming too.

People should have seen that the Democrats wouldn't do the things they promised and campaigned on? :mjlol:

Hell, I'll give you police reform because that's a hot button issue that leaves them open politically, no matter what they did. But there is zero excuse on voting rights since doing nothing about it screws them out of power.

So are you admitting that Democrats are too weak and incompetent to keep themselves in power? And why do you think voters will put up with this next year?

Because people should have seen that the GOP wasn't going to negotiate in good faith and Dems won't break the filibuster. Thats been obvious.

They care too much about bullshyt institutional norms and they are scared of what McConnell would do with no filibuster.

:jbhmm:. Interesting.

So tell me why Dems wasted months trying to get them on board with a police reform bill that ultimately fell through. And why is Schumer bringing Manchin's elections bill on the floor today knowing that it won't get a single Republican vote, even though Manchin assured that he could get enough votes to break the filibuster?

Why does it matter how many trillion dollars the bill is if there are funding mechanisms?

(This is in favor of a larger package and not a smaller one for the angry posters here who haven't had their coffee or first meal of the day yet).
