When did I say Peyton didn't choke? I'm not here to defend Manning. I'm simply saying the Colts had a weak ass defense that scared no one during his tenure. They weren't physical and disruptive, and had no scheme or blitz packages that confused anyone like the Steelers, Pats, Eagles, Chargers, etc. They were designed to be small and light and to just sit back in that cover 2 shell and let Freeney and Mathis rush off the edge with a basic 4 man front while being ahead by double digits.

They problem was when an opposing defense could stop the Colts from putting up 30 and made it a grind it out game, they were ill-prepared and got mauled.

Manning has gone 1 and done with multiple top 10 defenses, what are you talking about? You know what the difference between Brady and Manning is? Brady puts up a fight even when his defense is bad, Manning gets blown out and does nothing on offense.

Tom Brady just got hit 20x the most of any player in any game in the NFL this season, regular season or playoffs and somehow had the Pats in position to win. If that's Peyton Manning he loses by 30. This is a team game, but let's not act like Manning was losing shoot outs. I don't see what the issue is, Colts acknowledge that they made a mistake not building a balanced team with Peyton. They vowed to do better with Luck. Indy had a soft D that was dependant on having a lead and being able to rush the qb. Peyton has a more balanced team now and has had more success. Colts fans been saying this for years.

Manning never could have taken half a season off with Indy and still get the number one seed.
