since you sound like you're an expert on the cover 2 defenses, how about you outline when the teams stopped running cover 2 defense ?:sas1:

there were teams in the league this year that run the cover 2 even as their base. I bet you didnt know that :sas2:

cover-3 seattle runs is heavily influenced by 'tampa 2' kiffin and dungy used to run. not only that, seattle does cover-2 plenty of times as well as cover-1 and cover-3

what is this ? denver broncos running a....cover 2 coverage ? :ohhh:

Can you name a playoff game Peyton's Colts lost because of the defense?

I can name several they lost because Peyton was fukking up.

They got smoked by the Patriots one year 20-3.

Took a loss to a Pittsburgh team that scored just 21.

17-16 loss to the Jets.

23-17 to the Chargers
do I watch football? Cause I remember many times the colts blowing leads and missing game winning field goals

Nobody says teams don't run cover 2 sometimes. By have Tampa 2 as your base defense is fukking trash

Everyone is running with this narrative that indy had a shytty defense during his years their, but that defense was consistently tops in the league in points allowed.
but they defense was pretty much only ranked that high cause of what they offense was doing. Because they wasn't good enough or physical enough to be good without a lead. When a team could run consistently on them they were food, cause they de were pretty much only good pass rushers and would over purse all day and create major holes.

And in the offs when u have to play in conditions and play the best teams and best defenses in the league your offense won't always be able to score 30+ points and u need to defense

I won't say the colts held them back all the way, but I will say him and the colts organization played they cards wrong and should have went away from the finesse stuff after a while and build they team to be more physical kinda like the Broncos did after the L to the Hawks

Nah, I'm not you. I didn't start talking about the Broncos or bring up games the Colts won. :heh:

What part of the offense didn't score over 20 points are you missing?
Regardless of that. When u put your team in a position to win and either the special teams or defense doesn't come through its bullshyt to have it blamed on u. Brady won 3 bowls cause he put his kicker in a position to win it all and he came threw wit the make, regardless of the score, u don't play to win pretty, u play to win the game.

And these games we talking bout he played against some of the best defenses of his era

On his superbowl he played the 1.2.3 defenses in the league that year. And the superbowl was a rain game

Peyton Mannings 9-11 Playoff Record Is a Call for Help

Was written after they lost to Denver lost to Baltimore in 2012.

I'll always maintain that dude has played better than his record would indicate, but it's not as simple as blaming the defense. Those teams just caught a lot of bad breaks.
The games his receivers and defense and kicker in the case of 2000 and 2005 have lost for him :scust:. I knew it was bad, but holy shyt. Add the Seattle super bowl where the defense allowed 27 and Harvin took a kick back. nobody even put 26 on the Seahawks that year. The Denver offense needed to score 37 before the pick six. Nobody was doing that.

His defense let Jay Fiedler torch them (:scust:), second year ben had 147 yards and 2 scores in the first quarter in 2005 (:snoop:), the 2007 defense was #1 in points allowed in points all year and with rivers and gates out (LT was hurt but Michael turner was a beast) gives up the winning score. To get the lead with 50 seconds left and let mark sanchez drive down and win the game (:scusthov:). His defense has blown the lead at the end in 2000 to Jay Fiedler, 2007 to Billy Volek, 2008 to Philip Rivers, 2010 to Mark Sanchez, and 2012 to Joe Flacco :scust:. In the regular season as of January 2013 after the Ravens loss, Peyton's teams win 82.6% of their games where his passer rating is at least 85. His teams are 5-6 pre 2013 (not sure what his numbers where in 2013 against the chargers and patriots). 5 straight playoff losses with a passer rating of at least 88.3. As of the end of the 2012 season in the regular season his teams are 40-2 when his teams commit 0 turnovers. His colts managed to be 1-5 in the playoffs when the offense committed 0 turnovers (:dahell:). His defense allowed the 4th quarter comeback drive 6 of 10 times :francis:.
