It's mainly just too campy. If it had a dark reboot, it could work better. Serious toned massive alien invasion, Spielberg tried with wotw, but that was underwhelming. Independence Day had such a cool and obvious idea and it's still a fun movie just didn't age as well as other blockbusters.Real talk, remove nostalgia, the first one isn't all that good

oh well, i'll still see it tonight in 3dDidn't think it was bad, felt like it moved too fast compared to ID4, didn't really build up the aliens this time. The non OG characters
