I think this day just put the nail in the coffin.
What is this juezling bullshyt?In my opinion, any president in office during slavery and/or owned slaves was worse than Trump. One could argue that Trump is the worst president since Lincoln. My opinion is heavily influenced by the treatment of my ancestors though. Even if we’re taking in general and disregard slavery, I wouldn’t consider him the worst in this country’s history. If he could, I’m sure that Trump would own slaves, so there’s that.
I recently learned that Woodrow Wilson actually played the well known white supremacist film known as “The Birth of a Nation” at the White House. After, he told people that the movie was an accurate depiction of America’s history. I’d say that 90% of presidents were/are racist and anti-Black White supremacists.
This. Even regarding things said, other presidents like Lyndon B. Johnson are on record saying flagrant and offensive things. Imagine if we were able to witness or record what the 18th, 19th, and early 20th century presidents were saying (especially about Black People). I’m sure that it wouldn’t be pretty.
Trump, who has said numerous racist things about Black people and clearly would happily own slaves if it were still legal (so long as they weren't accountants), is not as bad as....Lincoln, who openly opposed slavery his entire life and literally forced the 13th Amendment down White Supremacists' throats.
Do you have the least doubt that he'd be as your more racist than any of them if he were transplanted into their era and was able to speak freely?
I mean really, as President you have a few major duties:
- Protect the American public as best as possible (400K+ dead from COVID)
- Don't give enemies safe harbor (Russia has repeatedly interfered/attacked with no response and even support)
- Transfer power peacefully in order to keep peace in the republic (incited a riot on Capitol based on false pretenses)
- Uphold the Constitution and faithful execution of law (repeatedly wiped his ass with it)
He failed at all of them. He's the only president not fulfill at least one. WOAT.
