There is three different kinds. (technically just two but they way we often see in america three)Off topic question, but do would y’all consider a trini or Guyanese “Indian”? And why do trini’s and Guyanese look like Indians ? I had a Guyanese guy that worked for me explain it to me once, but I don’t remember now, was it something to do with colonization or slavery?
they used indigenous Caribs and African slaves. I don't think Indians were ever brought over there in large numbers. but i could be wrong.Basically Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana have a large Indian population because the Indians were brought there as slaves by the British. A Guyanese person could be of African descent, Native “American” descent, Indian, or any mix of the 3...same with Trinidad with the addition of Spanish. My fam is from Trinidad and Tobago but I was born in the USA.
they're from southern india, the did have servants in her household, but i don't know enough about their economics to know if that means she was wealthy or if anybody can afford maids. I assume they were doing well enough since they could send her and her sister over to america for college.Contrary to the Indian c00ns I've heard about online, damn near every one I met in real life could not STAND white people.
What area is her family from in India? Are they richer than average middle class?

Native Americans -(not really Indians - just a name europeans gave to them)
Indians - (as in people from India)
West Indians - as in people from the west indies or the carribbean basin. (also not really indians, also a name europeans gave to them)
Low Key if i was a native american or a Guyanese person, i would find it disrespectful to be called Indian. basically letting colonizers give you a name instead using the one you called yourselves.

The Indians were enslaved they replaced the Africans and Natives after they were emancipated.
@Iceson Beckford does the boyfriend knows this or she doing this behind his back? I can’t imagine BM putting up with this not even for a nonblack woman, that’s just disrespectful.
They were indentured servants, not slaves. Meaning they chose to accept going to these islands for pay because they felt they were better off than staying India.
Indo west Indians do not share the history of blacks when it comes to slavery and many were used to undermine blacks who were fighting for their freedoms, when whites left. It left a power vacuum and since many Indians were looked at more favourably, they took over these positions, creating some discord between blacks and Indians.
Ie/ Trinidad, Guyana, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, etc...
I've been exclusive to black woman ever sense. I actually appreciate it for helping me realize what i wanted.
my daughter low key looks like Ashely Banks. My complexion and hair is naturally straight, took no curl from me whatsoever.
If i got to choose i might could see the prospects. But if it's my wife and her family choosing nah
