Funny, I don't see the people complaining about illegal immigration affecting wages taking up the issues of wage theft by employers, the Fight for $15, or, gasp... more radical solutions for the working class, namely, moving towards production for human need instead of profit.
That's because those people are only concerned with scapegoating and putting vulnerable groups against each other.
Immigrants can have anti-immigrant sentiments and can scapegoat as well, just like we have Afrikans who hold and advocate for anti-Afrikan ideas.
youre assuming a lot.
i'm for higher wages, keeping jobs in the U.S, demand + profit and i'm against wage slavery.
but illegal immigration is an issue. it drives down wages in southern states and the west coast, especially in places like Florida where there is no union.
i'm not even trying to scape goat illegals, in fact i understand why people come here illegally and that the immigration process is TOO long, that employers who hire illegal immigrants should be facing harsh penalties etc
you do realize that someone can be critical of the government, capitalism, immigration process but still be aware of how illegal immigration affects the poor and middle class?
in south florida and other places illegal mexicans get hired over black men. you don't see an issue with that?
