well the thing is i dont think black people should vote based on issues like health care, black people should vote based on calculations to increase black political power and i think a key to that is to separate from the democratic party and set ourselves up as a swing vote, which we are but nobody including black people see themselves as such, we need to correct that

it is correct im not concerned about the welfare of black people per se, that is why im not a progressive, im concerned about the level of economic and political power that black people have, once we get sufficient economic and political power then people can take of their own welfare however they see fit

Your position is a recipe for the decimation of black political power because all it will do is spread out the vote so that neither side feels compelled to consider black views. "Political power" is meaningless as a term since it's not attached to any tangible policies. Don't vote based on health care? You're not going to be enjoying any tax cuts if your ass is dead.
