Yup with Batman's villains the fight starts long before the one on one. Majority of them are evil to their core and can break you down mentally if you aren't strong enough. Most of Spider-Man's villains are crooks that have some moral compass

Spider-man’s villains are just as degenerate as Batman’s. Osborne is the Joker with superpowers and government connects.
