Soccer is not reliant on physical attributes.

they won't hear you though

to Americans, size is more important than intelligence

they think they can throw all their offensive lineman and power forwards in the beautiful game and they will dominate the sport lol

I actually expect our soccer team to improve in the next 20-30 years with the growing Hispanic population.

This is your best bet...to rely on the Hispanic immigrant population to fill up your ranks and give u a competitive team

Are people really stating that Americans wouldn't be able to develop soccer skills if the an infrastructure was in place similar to Europe's? Like we're all 'freak athletes' who get by on genetics alone and wouldn't be able to pick up the nuances of the game. US athletes are the best in the world and add in the fact they would be developing soccer skills on par with Europe, it's a wrap. Nobodies saying put Lebron on the field now and he'd be Ronaldo status, but if he were groomed for the game I don't see any other nation competing with what we have to offer.

You can say that about any and every country.

If Africa had the facilities and structure Europe have WE would be dominating the game. Fukk that....we might not even need that to dominate the game lol

European and South American powerhouses are not thinking about Americans. If anything they are waiting for one of either Ghana, Egypt, Nigeria, Cameroon and Ivory Coast to just take it over. All these countries have developed world class players where as America hasn't.

To you athleticism brehs, let me tell you a story about your precious athleticism and I'm gunna take it back to Africa. Now your probably thinkin :what: this Cac on about, well if you shut the fukk up I'll tell you.

Ever since the inception of youth World Cups back in the late 70's and early 80's (Theres 2 age groups u17's and 20's) In the u17's Africa has a fantastic history at this level. Now you gunan say this Cac thinks Africa is a country :heh: :stopitslime: Let me continue. Nigeria and Ghana have 5 tournament wins between them at this level. You know why because Athleticism wise they are superior to everyone else at this level. Now some people will say them Africans and their ages, maybe, maybe not that was the case, but they still won, but the fact reminds they dominate everyone else with their athleticism.

Now we go up to the next level the u20's, where the athleticism isnt such a big bigger difference, but this is where technique comes into play and where athleticism kind of starts to loses its luster. Now if we look at the history of the u20 World cup only 1 African team has won at this level, which was Ghana a few years back, they've had plenty of teams get to the final before, but where they have the advatnage at u17 level, it doesnt transfer to the u20 level, because technique matters more. Brasil and Argentina dominate this level, why because of their technique.

Now Who is the best African Nation in the 00's Some will say Cameroon because of the Olympic gold medal in 2000 and they won the African Nation Cup 2x in 00 and 02. Is it Senegal who got to a World Cup quater final and they beat France, maybe, is it D Diddy's Ivory Coast, who have probably produced the best players in the 00's, or is it Ghana who also like Senegal got to a world Cup quater final in 2010.

None of them, because excluding Cameroon at the start of the 00's the rest of them didnt win the African Nation Cup, you know the tournament that proclaims the best team in Africa. Its Egypt, now before people go Egypt :wtf: they never made it to a world cup, thats on them plus the African qualifyin process is a mad one, jsut liek the Asian one is as well, and its always harder to get to a tournament than to compete in one. Well tell me who else 3 ANC tournaments in a row in the 00's they beat Ivory Coast, they beat Ghana and they beat Cameroon all in the final, 3 teams who are superior to them in Athleticism and have the better players but not so in technique and tactics.

The moral of the story is the higher the level you go the less athleticism plays a part and more technique defines success

But what do i know im just a racist Cac :manny:

Nobody said shyt about Africa and Athleticism clown.

America would be on the level as France and Brazil who also have a lot of black talent.

Talent = Athleticism & Skills. Nobody talking about Athleticism alone dumbass. You the one that keep bring that up fool.

:heh: @ you thinking American black players wouldn't get as good as coaching as European players. All the best soccer coaches around the world would break their backs to coach this talent. And America have the money and resources to do it unlike the African countries.

It's a myth that America hasn't been pumping money into their football program...because they have. Since the 1994 World Cup (in which they hosted) they have been heavily funding American soccer. It's 2012....18 years later and still no world class players. Give that amount of money to any of the major African countries and we would have won a world cup already.

Americans need to stop making all these excuses...woulda, shoulda, coulda of's is all I'm hearing

there are teams out performing you with a fraction of the resources

It don't make a difference how much money they have been putting in right now, if the best talented athletes(mainly blacks) are not playing soccer.

I'm talking in hypothetical in if the best talented athletes(mainly blacks) started to play soccer.

Are they funding soccer in the black communities in America? No

I can also easily post pictures of World Class players over 6 feet. That center of gravity argument is nonsense. Having a low center of gravity HELPS if you want to have immaculate ball control and being able to change direction with the ball quickly, but its not a MUST.

:ld:Football still is fourth among sports in America though. The financing you speak of would be great for a second tier nation w/ no other sports to compete with.

But the US wouldn't dominate on some 92'dreamteam ish. Guys are street dreaming with that shyt though.

When did I say you needed to be under 6 feet to have a low center of gravity?

It's just a lot harder to have it when you are taller.

Henry, Zidane, Drogba, Socrates, etc

All those brehs have a very low center of gravity.

Peter Crouch? Not so much.

I wasn't directly responding to you...someone did say its a sport for those with low centers of gravity. Also, by the very definition of the phrase low center of gravity....those players you listed do not not have low centers of gravity. Being good on the ball doesn't equal low center of gravity, in a strictly scientific sense.

Messi is like the epitome of low center of gravity. The stuff he does at full speed is unreproducible for like 99% of players.

It's a false premise

athletes that are good in one sport will be not necessarily be good in the next sport
