Again my nikka, to most black people ricans are just mexicans from the east coast. b americans and b west indians fight but not to the degree of that shyt what happened in rikers island with the hispanics.

Dog....I've seen Black Americans and Black West Indians die over their beef. That's just my experience in Crown Heights coming up. At the end of the day, I don't see that much of a difference.

Well I had no problems with them. Put it this way your in the inside and most people in this thread are on the outside looking at nyc culture. Now me, im an outsider who has been on the inside for a lil bit so I can give you two perspectives. Blacks outside nyc don't identify with prs just like we don't identify with mexicans etc That's why it's hard for people in this thread "to get" your perspective.

But that outsider perspective is wrong.
When speaking for ourselves about the dynamic from the inside, they're telling us that its wrong. No....they need to get educated. Lumping Ricans to Mexicans is wrong....historically.

Your an outsider when it comes to the mexican and black dynamic but your pretty sure that we don't really get on. There's been threads where cali/texas blacks have said blacks n mexicans are cool n the outsiders perspectives were wrong too breh.

I lived in Texas for three years. I'm NOT an outsider. I can compare the two.
Blacks and Mexicans do NOT share the same relationship. I can't mix up a Mexican walking down the street from a black person. But I can mix up a PRican walking down the street from a black person because they can be one and the same.

Ive lived in nyc for 5 years. 02-07 but im still an outsider breh.
But from what I say.....the black/rican connection is uniquely ny breh.
Outside nyc the connection aint really there. So I understand your views but I
also understand others who don't share that connection.
I have a different perspective on that.

Outside of NYC, there isn't a large PRican contingent to speak of to mirror it!!!
Outside of Cali and Texas...there IS a large contingent of Mexicans. You can't compare the two. There are more Puerto Ricans born in NYC than there are in Puerto Rico.
It's completely different measures of scale!!
