First five rounds Canelo easy, goddamn, I don't even got to watch this shyt no more, HBO commentary strikes again, what a joke
Canelo is easily beating this guy and we at half way point
I don't wanna hear shyt from you any of you, GGG literally landed nothing the first 5 rounds, impossible to have any claim to victory

People tend to get swayed by whoever is announcing the fight. Last night I ordered the fight via online and they had different announcers than the ones on HBO. I was scoring the fight and had it Canelo 115-113. Most of my friends saw the HBO feed, weren't scoring the fight, and just going off what they saw and claimed GGG won the fight. I saw the replay earlier with the HBO announcing crew and it was clear they were on GGG's side (with exception of Roy Jones).

Canelo- 1,2,3,5,9,10,12
Triple G-4,6,7,8,11

Initially had Triple G winning, just re-watched. A LOT of his punches missed, and despite being aggressive it was ineffective. Triple G's power also didn't bother Canelo (:jbhmm:) in his first fight at 160. How you score the fight depends on what type of boxing you enjoy. Canelo has to work on his stamina if he wants to beat Triple G. Triple G has to work the body if he wants to beat Canelo.

Great fight can't wait for part 2

With some body work GGG can beat him in the rematch... That's if Canelo doesn't counter him to death

What we're dealing with now is a ward-kovalev situation. Where hbo tried their hardest to sway the public's opinion. Lederman gave the first round to little g which was a joke. Then you had Lampley on little g's nuts the whole fight. And now the racist media is pushing the robbery angle. Canelo is officially the new Floyd. And I'm happy he's embracing the shyt.

Little g fans really trying to pretend like he wasn't getting completely embarrassed at times. In the first 3 rounds canelo was making him look like a C level fighter. But then his stamina just completely gave out. It made no sense. Up to that point he was controllin the pace. The first 3 rounds went pretty much like a typical canelo fight. Makes me wonder if the overtraining rumors were true. He started his camp a lot earlier than he normally does. Either way dude needs a real conditioning coach. Chepo and eddie reynoso obviously know boxing. But they're not endurance guys. You need somebody who really went to school and learned about that shyt. There's absolutely no reason for a 27 year old guy to be running on fumes after 3 rounds. It's despicable. One of the reporters asked him about his stamina in the post fight conference and he denied it was a problem. Canelo is too prideful to admit it, so chepo and Eddie need to make that move themselves. If they really want to see canelo reach his full potential.

Canelo did good in the first four rounds, but GGG controlled the rest of of the fight.

That was a bad decision by Byrd.

Several. They didn't like the way he fought from the mid 2000s on.
As he gotten older and fought the best available fighters at the time?

He should risk getting dropped when he don't have to?

They're mad because he didn't put himself positions to lose.

Um max and roy was saying all night they had canelo winning . What are you even talking about? Everyone know lederman is useless; what you're seeing is people obvious biases wanting it there way

Saw the exact same thing. Not a mystery since every single boxer or trainer I have seen thought GGG won...and they almost always favor the boxer. Even Rigo out here retweeting Pacquiao and K9 in their conversation saying GGG won.

Edit: We don't have a Ward-Kovalev situation, because the media and public favored Kovalev and the fighters favored Ward. Media, fans, and fighters all seem to be heavily favoring GGG.

shyts eerily reminiscent Of Ward/Kov 1(think SOG won 1), foreign boogie monster against the A side . Nelo won the first couple rounds, GGG finds his footing and jabs away. A Lotta power shots.

Unlike Ward, Nelo didnt adjust accordingly. Stylistically, Nelo looked like the better boxer. Great defense but ate way too many shots. Salute to Golovkins chin and Casuals think he said monster gets screwed to set up a rematch. No screw job , evenly fought match , the 118-110 card definitely marred the draw decision.

I have more respect for both guys before the fight. Ironically , I was ina House full of Mexicans and even some of them thought GGG won. Coulda went either way , I had GGG 7-5 but you can definitely make a case for Alvarez :manny:

Yeah

Anytime you have the busier guy that is coming forward vs the boxer with the cleaner punchers, you are going to see opinions that are all over the place.

The reason there is a clear consensus in this fight, is because the boxer in this case was simply not active enough.

I would like to see Canelo become open to fighting maybe 3 fights next year. He can sort of use one of the camps to work out what the issue is. However, that will never happen. He's fine with the 2 fight schedule.
