Canelo did hit GGG hard, the problem is that Gennady is the terminator. Those uppercuts were mean but he shook them off like...nah
When Floyd lands on a fighter, they don't throw again, if they throw again they suffer, he completely neutralizes, Canelo at no time neutralized GGG with his counters or boxing, outside 2nd or 3rd round in my opinion.
He was simply excessively moving and laying on the ropes covering up.
Pretty much nailed the gist of the fight right here.

Nothing is going to have an effect on GGG. Canelo hits hard as fukk from all that has been said and you could see the impact as well.
Not sure why you guys keep bringing up Floyd. Floyd's gameplan is to annoy you with his defense. He is a great counter puncher. People stopped punching with Floyd because they got frustrated that they could not hit him, not because they hurt more than anything else they felt before.
Watching the 12th again i actually think ggg won that round too. Besides canelo initially 4 hit combo ggg had even more effective shots. The 6-8 shots against the ropes hurt nelo badly. Those weren't glove touches either, nelo needs to stay away from the ropes some . Hes no floyd and doesn't counter when against them
Jacobs had a noticeable effect on GGG, to the point where Jacobs would often stalk GGG late in their fight and GGG had to be overly defensive because the shots hurt. He said this after the fight as well.
Everyone who has fought floyd said it isn't frustration that they stop punching, its that he picks and times his shots so well that the punching makes you defensive because you don't want to get hit again. Everyone says this.

I had it 114-114, don't find the draw controversial, these were two very evenly matched fighters with plenty of hard to judge rounds. That Adelaide Byrd card is an absolute disgrace though and is ultimately what taints the draw decision.
I had Canelo winning the first and final 3 rounds but like I said some rounds were very even and you can make the case for both fighters deserving the win. Perhaps GGG deserves it slightly more due to winning some rounds more clearly than any round Canelo won. However I don't think one can argue either one won the fight in dominant fashion, like I said before, these were two very evenly matched fighters. A rematch is well deserved, however I think it will play out very similar to this one. We might be up for a trilogy.

The level of competition is better though. You're not gonna land the same punches on Canelo and Jacobs as you would on the Murrays, Rubios and Geales of the world. It should give him something to study and get sharper from. Canelo is a lot better at making people miss than it seems.
