They're lying and trying to save face. They'll come out with BS numbers if they ever do. The fight was tracking to do a little over a million one week ago. Pugmire says 1.3 and I suspect he's spot on. Don't ask me how I know but let's see how this plays out.

Watched this fight mad late, but fukk it

My takeaways:

1. Herald Letterman & Jim Lampley aint shyt. Pure trash. These dudes are disgusting to listen to. I used to have mad respect for them too

2. Canelo is just a much better boxer and fighter than GGG. Kind of exposed dude to be honest. But Canelo also exposed himself for having shyt stamina and allowing a man to win rounds purely on effort, coming forward, ineffective arm punches and weak ass jabs. GGG had a few moments of landing hard punches, but he mostly did the former, and couldn't see Canelo on no real boxing shyt. If Canelo had elite fighting stamina, he clearly embarrasses this dude.

3. A draw or a close win for either fighter is a fair score card in my opinion.

Naw, he was way too inactive considering how successful he was when he was throwing punches. Plus his corner was even pissed at how he was taking breaks and laying on the ropes, giving GGG free chances. If he had more Stamina, the fight would have been in the center of the ring alot more. GGG didn't even bring his usual power into this fight, he was too gun shy because of how crisp Canelo was early. GGG wins off of pressure combined with great power.

Truthfully...how much BETTER is either guy gonna be in a rematch? What you see is what you get with Canelo and GGG. One guy is a better counter puncher with major stamina issues, the other lacks defense but has Premium unleaded Gas in the tank, is more consistent, and has a chin. Same fight plays out, Canelo gets the decision this time. People b*tch the following day. We get a 3rd fight.

So 1 punch knockouts is the only measuring stick for punching power, especially divisions under Heavyweight? Don't be silly. You can't beat someone into submission with pity pat punches either. You gotta have some aspect of punching power.
