Do we have a GGG being hit by a good body shot on record ?
Yeah we do, Curtis Stevens hit him hard to the body and made him reset. Jacobs hit him hard to the body and made him reset consistantly. Willie Monroe Jr. touched him to the body, but he didn't have enough pop, but he has been touched to the body and it is a weakness. The issue I see for Canelo is he doesn't have the mindset or chin to work his way to the inside and get to work, he is too lazy.

I don't know if I do or not...haven't had to dig in the files in a minute since it's been so calm around here:obama:

Either way though, the fight is here now (next weekend) and the truth will be revealed....who's better Canelo or GGG?:blessed:
Breh, you may not want to pull those because they may derail the whole finding ways to blame GGG argument. :sas2:

First it was Canelo is the A-side...GGG admitted to that.
Then it was 155.15 or no shot...Canelo didn't seem to have an issue making it at 160.
Then it was accept whatever money we choose to offer...seems to have easily worked itself out.
The whole time Canelo was saying Golovkin you are next my friend...and yet it was GGG who got blamed each time Canelo fought someone not named GGG.

Seems to me that GGG signed the contract when he had a real contract to sign in front of him. But nah, that isn't an acceptable opinion to publish around here. :sas1:

What happens when GGG wins? Probably hear how Canelo was just setting GGG up so he could cash in on a rematch, maybe even a trilogy. You know, how people were actually believing that Mayweather may throw a fight vs. McGregor to get a rematch.

Nah, they are full of excuses. Trust the fact that Canelo was the A-side and that negotiations went the way he wanted them to. He didn't get worked over in any fashion. Now have the confidence to let your fighter do the talking and let the best man win Sept. 16. Boxing at its best. Big names, big event, high skill, and potential for lots of action. :blessed:

Well aren't they showing it at most movie theaters? As glorious at Patriots Place is, isn't that kinda far for you or no?

I'll be at my parents crib for this. We're a fight family so my parents, my 3 bros, 2 of their gfs, my gf, and at least 4 of our boys will be in attendance for the real fight. 2 racks of ribs, 2 types of BBQ wings, mashed potatoes, Mac y cheese and lots of alcohol will be on the menu at the Leonidas household :jawalrus:

Come on breh, you know it was never about weight on Canelo's end. Canelo's team has already given all the info out in the lead up to this fight. The fight was never going to happen at 155.15 two years ago. It was all about when Canelo wanted to make the fight. He wanted to wait and GB wanted to build it up a bit. The negotiations never came down to weight. That was the easiest part when GB and K2 started working together. By all accounts it was the $$$ that was the hold up for the last year.

And my statement above is written with the intention to give respect to the fact that Canelo was the deciding factor in this fight, the A side, and the one who was in control. The weight argument is as Breadman says was the Twitter fan generation who want to negotiate the fight as fans. It was bullshyt. Canelo got the fight he wanted.

I am sure @Newzz has plenty of posts saved away about 155.15 or no shot. Looks like 160 was agreed upon without breaking a sweat.
i'm not hearin none of this shyt. little g could have had a big fight years ago if he would have moved up and fought ward....but he was a scared ass ho. little g and his team never ONCE said canelo was lying about 155. all they said was little g wouldn't move to 155 for canelo, only floyd. so save that bullshyt. you shookboys need to stop crying already. the fight is 10 days away. canelo moved UP to little g's weight class like he wanted. something little g has never had the courage to do in his entire career. I don't wanna hear no excuses when this fight is over. little g is the SAME exact fighter he was before brook. he just stopped fighting bums and all of his flaws got put on display just like we said they would. he's nothing special and never has been, and canelo will expose him once and for all on the 16th.

De La Hoya Concerned About Canelo's Speed Against Golovkin - Boxing News

“I’m worried about the speed a bit,” De La Hoya told Smith. “That’s his big advantage, is his speed, against Golovkin. So, you know, I wouldn’t wanna see him to go up too many pounds right after the weigh-in on Friday before the fight. So we’ll see how they do it. He has a new strength and conditioning coach, so we’ll see how they adjust. But I think Canelo’s speed is a big factor.”

canelo got a new conditioning coach:ohhh:.....that's exactly what I was hoping for:blessed:

He gonna need a sober coach, and an intervention on deck after this fight.

If they really wanted to help the kid they would get him a new trainer 2 fights ago.

He already looks slower, look at the media work out when he's throwing punches it looks like he's pushing his punches, like he's punching under water. Oscar seen that and I'm sure it's the reason he's speaking on it.

Him getting a strength and conditioning coach right now is a terrible idea too, timing all wrong.

I agree with you in that Canelo didn't seem as fast as I thought at the workout and GGG when showing off his speed looked pretty quick at the workout.
However, I look at that with major caution because there is the natural fight speed and I expect Canelo to operate faster than GGG. GGG is more methodical and doesn't use any speed in his fights.

The power difference was huge as you said. Canelo was definitely trying to push power onto his punches and they still didn't have near the power as GGG's did just flowing like water.

That said it comes down to the basic things to me: even though GGG hits harder, is Canelo's power enough to keep GGG honest and how big a factor will Canelo's functional speed advantage be - can he make it harder to time like Brook did?

Gennady Golovkin on Canelo Alvarez fight: "I have been ready for years."

Good profile on GGG. Too long, so I won't post it. This and the 24/7's are showing he is extremely likable as a person. It has to be HBO and the super-GGG nut huggers from the shytty forums that piss people off.

Crazy how even in the 24/7's and this article, GGG refuses to let any of his personal life enter. He just doesn't want his family life public and no one has been able to crack that.

Interesting part of the article, that pertains to certain conversations above, where GGG said he grew tired of Canelo calling him out and not making a fight with him. He said he talked to Canelo and asked him about that and Canelo told him that it wasn't him holding up a fight, it was GB. :sas2:
