Breadman dishing on Canelo vs. GGG:

I have always been a big GGG admirer. I don’t think he would be getting this fight if Kell Brook didn’t win two rounds and didn’t land that uppercut. I think he’s in great shape. He’s just not overly cut up which is often times genetics. Unfortunately for GGG his legacy is on the line in this fight. He needs this one to solidify it. It sucks for his fans at 35 this is what it has come to but the ducking of him for years has been shameful. Let’s see what happens. From my perspective I know a great fighter when I see one. I think he’s a great fighter. But in this era of Social Media and unqualified boxing opinions I think he will get snipped if he doesn’t win.

Canelo does look like a tank but he always does to me. Canelo looks locked in and I expect him to really push GGG. If GGG is not up for the task he will get torn to pieces. Canelo is ready. I know the look he has in his eyes.

You know I have read the same theories on staying in altitude too long. It doesn’t affect Terence Crawford who trains in Colorado Springs but I do see GGG huffing at times during fights. Hopefully he comes down soon enough and his body gets to recover. I also remember Shane Mosely and Oscar De La Hoya breathing with their mouths open in certain fights and they also both trained in Big Bear. Many don’t know the side effects of staying up in altitude too long. Abel is a great coach hopefully he monitors everything he needs to. We shall see….

Some more Breadman dish:

Hell yeah it’s more downside for GGG. GGG was ducked for 5 years and he’s finally getting a chance at a super fight and the lineal title at middleweight. The odds from this fight went from 4 to 1 to almost dead even. That shows you exactly what the mood is. They are catching him at the right time. GGG is also a grinder who gets hit. So they feel he lost a step. I hope he has not. I hope he’s the same guy who peaked vs Matthew Macklin.

In fights where the fighters are the same age and at the same stage of their careers they usually effect both roughly the same. Hagler vs Hearns. I think the loss would have hurt Hagler the same as it did Hearns in their fight. Hagler was older but they were at the same stage of greatness around that time.

GGG vs Canelo is definitely a top 5 middleweight fight since 1980. It may be top 3.

Already lining up the bbbbut he old shyt. He could have caught that work at 155.15 and decided not to so its on him.
Come on breh, you know it was never about weight on Canelo's end. Canelo's team has already given all the info out in the lead up to this fight. The fight was never going to happen at 155.15 two years ago. It was all about when Canelo wanted to make the fight. He wanted to wait and GB wanted to build it up a bit. The negotiations never came down to weight. That was the easiest part when GB and K2 started working together. By all accounts it was the $$$ that was the hold up for the last year.

And my statement above is written with the intention to give respect to the fact that Canelo was the deciding factor in this fight, the A side, and the one who was in control. The weight argument is as Breadman says was the Twitter fan generation who want to negotiate the fight as fans. It was bullshyt. Canelo got the fight he wanted.

I am sure @Newzz has plenty of posts saved away about 155.15 or no shot. Looks like 160 was agreed upon without breaking a sweat.

Just like some people are overrating Canelo's boxing.

Dude barely eked out controversial decision wins every time he fought someone with a pulse, yet some people are acting as if he's some master boxer.

Both guys are overrated as fukk imo.

I don't know if I do or not...haven't had to dig in the files in a minute since it's been so calm around here:obama:

Either way though, the fight is here now (next weekend) and the truth will be revealed....who's better Canelo or GGG?:blessed:

@FrankyFourFingers thanks for the reminder :obama:

FOTY right here.

I got GGG by TKO. But man, Canelo is a live dawg! It would be spooky if he won. The Canelo era?!?!? :mindblown:

But I gotta stick with GGG due to his power, size and aggression.

@Mr. Leonidas breh where you watching this? i might head to Patriot Place in Foxboro..they airing it at the movie theater there

Well aren't they showing it at most movie theaters? As glorious at Patriots Place is, isn't that kinda far for you or no?

I'll be at my parents crib for this. We're a fight family so my parents, my 3 bros, 2 of their gfs, my gf, and at least 4 of our boys will be in attendance for the real fight. 2 racks of ribs, 2 types of BBQ wings, mashed potatoes, Mac y cheese and lots of alcohol will be on the menu at the Leonidas household :jawalrus:

Yeah it's about that far from me too. Pats are the best tho and that facility? Wowsers. :wow:

I recently was there for a COLDPLAY concert. Floor Seats too on the field. Best concert experience I've ever had. The stadium never looked more godly in my life. And you're def right about going there I see now. So much to do and it'll probably be packed. But real talk, we need to view a fight together this year. I'm going to Loma vs Rigo in N.Y. Wilder vs Ortiz is gonna be in NY too. But even if it's on some link up to watch a fight on tv shyt, I'm down. Always down to link with Coli fam. :salute:
