Cuz ghandi did evil things to people too jus like we ALL have. Good works don't cancel out evil ones. If Ghandi believed He had the power to determine if he was a good person or not by helping other people he was misguided in my opinion. If Hitler killed a million more jews and gypsies, but on his death bed he genuinely called on Christ to come into his heart then he will be raised up to everlasting glory. I believe when u genuinely become a Christian those traits of love, compassion, and humility will naturally come forth and not be a "work" but rather a characteristic. In the book of James it says "faith without works is dead" so u can't have faith in Jesus and your life isn't showing some signs of it.

And you dont see how people who dont follow your religion would look at dat shyt and go tho?

Its a question of belief vs. logical thinking. Realistically, If my father was a muslim then I probably would be one too. My belief as a Christian is that I would have eventually found out about Jesus and accepted Him. Thats how I really have to approach my faith. When I'm dealing with my faith alot of times I honestly do throw logic out the window and go on what I understand from Scripture and what I feel the Lord tells me in my spirit.

Even as I type this parts of me go "nikka why are u believing this and causing unwanted pressure on yourself". But I'd rather jus stand up and do what I believe is right

Man to each his own but the more I inform myself about religion the less I can take it seriously. My real beef is when religion trespasses onto other aspects of social life and when religious people start feeling themselves on some "chosen one" bs, feeling they're somehow better than non-religious people. Or just use religion to oppress other social groups (poor, women, people of other origin...and of other religions of course). And then the obvious: if God really existed, why is he not self-evident to ALL of mankind, instead of there being who knows how many religions out there? Let's assume a second that christianity is the "true religion", then why was only a part of mankind originally exposed to it? Why did the Almighty have to wait for Columbus and them to spread the Good Word? And what about Inquisition, is that also a part of God's plan? Too much bs for me.

If the Devil is bad, then why does he punish people who sin?

This thread is kind of hard to follow so I'll just try and answer this question.

God is good, God is bad, God is everything. God is the devil, God is angels, God is demons. Nothing escapes God or comes out of his boundaries. He is everything.

God doesn't punish people. People get themselves in trouble and have to deal with consequences hopefully while going through that they are able to strengthen their relationship with God. If you sin it's not God who's punishing you, your punishing yourself. You choose to do things that take you to places that are bad.
