Yeah but WHY do people need to believe in Jesus christ and WHY do people need him to cleanse their "sins" inorder to have a good life? I know plenty of folks who aren't religious and/or follow any kind of organized religion dat are str8 up good peoples. Treat folks wit respect n are living a very fulfilling life. I know i've brought up dis point in a couple similar threads like dis but i feel it's such a simple observation. You wouldn't be "needing" Jesus christ to cleanse your soul if you didnt even know he existed at all. You wouldn't be needing none of dat if you were born in some other part of da world dat didn't follow dat belief system. IMO it all comes down to geographical and cultural circumstances. Dat shyt has been drilled into ya dome since you were born breh. Memorizations of scriptures, being told not to question any of it, etc. Especially if you were brought up in da church AND your pops was a minister. Dat stuff was prolly heavily ingrained into your mind growin up. It's only natural.


But i've always stated dat if believin in dat kinda shyt(whether it's Jesus, Allah, Budda, Zues, etc.) helps folks get thru the difficulities in their lives then it's no prollem. Go for it. It's no different then when Greeks prayed to their gods, Native Americans chantin to their spiritual dieties, etc. so on n so forth. But just be careful when tryin to speak about dat kinda stuff it like it's some sort of undisputable fact. Because there will be those who will be quick to point out da obvious holes in dat kind of rational. Do ya thang tho pimpin.

i started to post on this but ugh i'll never understand how people that aint religious could talk about it so much. i'll just say, as someone who was born in raised deeply in church and left, havin a "fear of god" is a huge misconception. i think its really a fear of the projection of god made by man. free will is just that. free will. i could go out and murder somebody tonight if i wanted but my punishment, my life is gonna be in the hands of man--never god. and i still believe in god by the way, but if jesus died for our sins then why would i still be expected to live accordin to any standard outside of my own??? just sayin
