If God is good why do we fear him?

yes we have free will.. and yes hes the creatorSo what's da fukkin purpose of "free will" then if dood controls EVERYTHING? So god is chillin in da clouds watchin innocent people gettin murdered? Kids gettin molested? Women gettin raped and mutilated? It's all just for his own entertainment or boredom? So he could stop all dat brutal and unecessary pain/violence but doesn't? What kinda crazy ass sadistic shyt is dat breh?
but since i nor u control anything past our free will,
we know theres a greater being that made things like
oceans, the moon, the sun, etc and those things dwarf
our free will.. so its healthy to fear that who created these essential
things..

Free will is exactly that, the will to do whatever it is you choose. Earth was invented for the sole purpose of free will, a chance to give every person to devote themselves to God for his will, but if you choose to ignore it, than yes there will be murderers, molesters, etc. God interfering with such evil would be completely going against his plan and destroying the entire point of free will. God is always in full control, so those who do sin will have to answer to him at the end of their days. Also keep in mind Earth is only a temporary home for humans until the day God has had enough and will wipe away the entire planet, leaving only Heaven and Hell for eternity.

Everything I have typed below is of my own opinion.
The purpose of free will is so we as humans can decide how to live our lives. If we live our lives the right way, we get rewarded. If not, we get punished. God puts free will as the ultimate prize given to mankind. He detests the mindless servants and the back breaking laborers who get nothing in return. If He didn't he wouldn't have infused Moses' staff with the power to cause plagues, part seas, and to ultimately free slaves from Egypt. That's why in the old testament when people owned slaves and servants, He made rules to govern the fair treatment of them.
Well, I would like to answer your questions with a question of my own. I stole this question from an episode of Supernatural (season 5 The GOAT)...but it still helps to prove my point.
"What would you rather have: peace or freedom?"
We can't have both. God stated after He caused the Great Flood that all mankind is born into sin from their youth. So there will never be world peace as long as we have free will. As I said earlier, it is my opinion that God puts allowing free will above all other liberties given to mankind. So He would never take that away from us.
As far as why He allows evil to happen, I have a theory. God is like any father; He'll protect His children up to a point but sonner or later they'll have to learn to fend for themselves. In reading The Bible, God only interferes personally with issues that humans alone weren't going to be able to handle. I don't think any adult male wants his pops to fight his battles for him. Murderers, kidnappers, serial killers, we as humans have the power to stop it. We don't need beings with immortal powers to stop very mortal issues.
