If Bronny James was Marvin Harrison Jr. or Shaduer, people would respect it more

Nope. I'm blaming the whole Buss family, but ultimately Pelinka can say no if he doesn't want that dirt on his name
In other words you want him to purposely get fired and possibly never get another GM again? He didn’t want Westbrook, Bron and AD forced his hand (with the owners support). You want him to defy the highest paid players and ownership just to get fired?

It’s a 55th pick man in the NBA. Lakers ain’t never gave a fukk about no 2nd round picks. They can hire who want to hire to play basketball. It’s entertainment not engineering.

Yall had me thinking Thanasis was drafted before Giannis:mjlol:

"Antetokounmpo, brother of Bucks' rookie sensation Giannis Antetokounmpo, made the unusual decision to join the NBA D-League as an international prospect rather than continue to ply his trade in his home country of Greece. His decision seems to be paying off, as he's received invaluable exposure to NBA personnel thus far, something that is likely to continue. - Source: DraftExpress - Thanasis Antetokounmpo DraftExpress Profile: Stats, Comparisons, and Outlook ©DraftExpress

So acting like he got it all off purely the grind is kindve false:comeon:. Giannis is literally being called a rookie sensation here. Which means Thanasis couldve easily been drafted off "pedigree" like many players are. So do I have a real issue with drafting the son of the arguable goat(to some people, not me) based on pedigree? At pick 55 no,its actually a great value pick. Yall can act like pedigree means nothing, but it does. But like I said, even ifs its a pick to motivate Lebron,I dont see the problem. It should just be called for what it is.
Giannis was no a rookie sensation wtf. He averaged 6ppg, was thin as a board, no shooting ability, weak dribbling ect. His butter did not get drafted cause a team wanted to make him happy.

I think people are underestimating how playing next to Lebron and for essentially “Lebrons team” will make Bronny a good player

Bron will set up Bronny to get open shots and guide him on every aspect of the nba game

This was the only way Bronny was entering the nba without 2-3 more years of college

By the time Lebron retires I bet Bronny can hold his own and will have a solid career ahead of him

Or maybe he just lets Brice take the baton

Either way the Bronny experiment will work.

It’s a win win.

Don’t let Bron and Bronny win a championship in LA. That’ll be the GOAT moment in sports history :banderas:

Bron ain't already been coaching him already his whole life? If he ain't got it by now he ain't got it.

Your wrong on this one champ. Giannis didnt have the stats. But are you forgetting he scored OFF THE CHARTS when it came to eye test? All the more reason to look at his lengthy, athletic brother and hope he has the same talent coupled with genetics.#Pedigree

If your nba GM,you wouldnt be crazy to consider drafting Bronny just on the hopes he has a growth spurt:wow:

Thanasis did not get drafted off of Giannis' "pedigree" :mjlol:

Giannis had nowhere near the level of clout or level of pedigree himself to justify drafting his brother based off of his own rookie season. Giannis was still a project at that point in time, the Bucks were not making moves based off what he wanted like they are now.

High school and college was holding Bronny back

Lebron knows Bronny can thrive in the NBA

Case in point, I watched Shai at Kentucky and thought he wasn’t much better than a backup NBA PG based on how coach Cal used him

But really it was more so the college game that didn’t showcase his full potential

Huh? Players have reports of having holes in their game or not being good or not as good as advertised all the time. They have to go to workouts to prove those reports wrong. They don’t get to make the demands of not working out for any other than the teams they want, refusing 2 way deals, and threatening to go overseas if someone they don’t want drafts them. And by “they” I mean players that are projected to go late 2nd round/undrafted.. Zion could do that. AD could have done that. Lebron too. Bronny who averaged 4 pts in college and 14 at best in high school? Nah.

Just say you respect Bron for looking out for his son and doing whatever it takes to put him in the best position he could to be successful. Nothing wrong with that take. But pretending they weren’t behind the scenes pulling strings and making threats? That’s cap.
I didnt say what or what they werent doing I dont know and you dont either (but thats beside the point) for the sake of arguing we can go along with what you say. You said they were strong arming teams. Im asking you who were they strong arming? No team was interested in Bronny for his talent. The only teams that were reportedly showing interest in Bronny are teams that had the idea "If we get Bronny we may get Bron because Bron wants to play with his son. Basically strong arming Bron trying to muscle him away from LA with the dream he had for his boy. So they countered being strong armed with Rich reporting Bronny would go overseas. If you try to strongarm me then i turn around and strong arm you you dont get to go complain about strong arming when you were the 1st to strong arm.

I think you all need a quick reminder:wow:

Doesnt matter if he was a project, the potential ceiling of the project proved astronomical after his rookie season. Simply based on his genetics and what he could do at his size. And he was stil growing as well,2 more inches by end of his rookie year. If Bronny grows another 2-3 inches, what are yalls feelings about him then? This is pedigree in a nutshell:respect:

u sound crazy as hell. bronny has NEVER dominated on any level of basketball in his life. and that's despite him having EVERY advantage in training, nutrition and coaching. not to mention him him having his dad teach him the game since he was a little kid. so far in his career, he's been all hype and very little substance behind it.

if he cannot dominate in high school, I HIGHLY doubt he's gonna even be serviceable in the NBA.
