Yall had me thinking Thanasis was drafted before Giannis:mjlol:

"Antetokounmpo, brother of Bucks' rookie sensation Giannis Antetokounmpo, made the unusual decision to join the NBA D-League as an international prospect rather than continue to ply his trade in his home country of Greece. His decision seems to be paying off, as he's received invaluable exposure to NBA personnel thus far, something that is likely to continue. - Source: DraftExpress - Thanasis Antetokounmpo DraftExpress Profile: Stats, Comparisons, and Outlook ©DraftExpress

So acting like he got it all off purely the grind is kindve false:comeon:. Giannis is literally being called a rookie sensation here. Which means Thanasis couldve easily been drafted off "pedigree" like many players are. So do I have a real issue with drafting the son of the arguable goat(to some people, not me) based on pedigree? At pick 55 no,its actually a great value pick. Yall can act like pedigree means nothing, but it does. But like I said, even ifs its a pick to motivate Lebron,I dont see the problem. It should just be called for what it is.

GIANNIS AVERAGED 7 PTS ON 41%
AS A ROOKIE.

HE WASNT NO DAMN SENSATION.

Nepotism ain’t a good thing :wtf:

There is a black prospect right now that didn’t get drafted because of this. I can’t believe this has to be broken down like this. Dusty dudes like us do not benefit from this shyt.
Wtf does the Lakers have to do with the other NBA teams not using their picks for so called black prospect

High school and college was holding Bronny back

Lebron knows Bronny can thrive in the NBA

Case in point, I watched Shai at Kentucky and thought he wasn’t much better than a backup NBA PG based on how coach Cal used him

But really it was more so the college game that didn’t showcase his full potential
Smh what is this bullshyt
SGA was a lottery pick and SEC tournament MVP
Acting like he wasn't nice in college
Stop with these ridiculous comparisons

I didnt say what or what they werent doing I dont know and you dont either (but thats beside the point) for the sake of arguing we can go along with what you say. You said they were strong arming teams. Im asking you who were they strong arming? No team was interested in Bronny for his talent. The only teams that were reportedly showing interest in Bronny are teams that had the idea "If we get Bronny we may get Bron because Bron wants to play with his son. Basically strong arming Bron trying to muscle him away from LA with the dream he had for his boy. So they countered being strong armed with Rich reporting Bronny would go overseas. If you try to strongarm me then i turn around and strong arm you you dont get to go complain about strong arming when you were the 1st to strong arm.
Let’s go wit teams only being interested because of Lebron. Wasn’t it him that said he’d go anywhere Bronny is drafted? So strong arming is when teams believe exactly what Lebron himself said and try to throw their team in the hat?

You dont gotta cap. Some cacs will strongarm a black man in business without a second thought so why not celebrate Lebron/Klutch beating them at their own game rather than lying and saying that they weren’t playing at all? Or that the owners started first? I even clown LeMedia and him planting analyst/commentator plants in media to big him up but I also understand that teams did and do that as well. So he’s playing the same game they do the only problem him playing the same game often hurts his peers, teammates, or predecessors.

I gave you the out to salute them for playing the game in their favor. I even think that every man should slide their children in the most advantageous position they can. But pretending they’re not doing it? Cap

I clearly said eye test spoke volumes. But since yall only know stat sheets:mjlol:

Meanwhile you the one came in dikkeating Thanasis.

"Bu bu but he made it on his own, leave him alone:damn:"

Ive proven my point already. Thanasis is in the league right now because of his brother. And arguably got drafted because of his brother. But fact is,not a single one of you clowns will stand up and say he deserves his job RIGHT NOW. Which is the same thing yall bytching about with Bronny. I dare you to say Thannasis would be on the Bucks if not for Giannis. If you wont, might as well stfu:mjlol:

You keep saying “we.”

LeBron James and Bronny James are them, not we. We will more than likely never benefit from nepotism. Nepotism is a class creation to keep people of the same bloodline and class in those positions

That logic is similar to the, “i’m going to support this billionaire tax cut because it’s gonna be me one day.”
Bruh, "we" is just a word used casually. I'm vastly aware of the classism that denotes the ability to even cause nepotism. I'm saying I don't currently care if black people are starting ro take advantage of it. Even if me or my future seed don't see the benefits. shyt, Will Smith, give your kids that opportunity. If they trash we'll let it be known.

Even if that same nepotism is hurting other black people? Got it.

This is why black people need to start developing class consciousness because we really think the wins of the black elite are ours even though we are in the same predicament as before.

I think you all need a quick reminder:wow:

Doesnt matter if he was a project, the potential ceiling of the project proved astronomical after his rookie season. Simply based on his genetics and what he could do at his size. And he was stil growing as well,2 more inches by end of his rookie year. If Bronny grows another 2-3 inches, what are yalls feelings about him then? This is pedigree in a nutshell:respect:

Yeah, you obviously don't know ball.

Giannis wasn't strong arming anybody into drafting his brother while averaging 6 points a game, genius. :comeon:

I question if you idiots even know what "nepotism" means.

Nepotism isn't people seeing that you have a talented brother & hoping you have the same talent.

That's actually common sense to assume that 2 people with the same parents & background would share some of the same talent

ESPECIALLY since Thanasis is a pretty accomplished player in Europe, who won MVPs and championships over there.

Now, you can arguing that Giannis is CURRENTLY in his current position as one of the greatest players ever is keeping his brother in the league, fine, but Thanassis EARNED his spot in the league with a resume that's not that different than the countless White boys who get drafted from Europe after being MVPs and All-Star game MVPs in those leagues.

PLUS, he's 6'8" and a freak athlete, himself.

Bronny was meh in high-school, mediocre in college, and is only 6'1".

There is no comparison.
