If Bronny James was Marvin Harrison Jr. or Shaduer, people would respect it more

I wanna preface this by saying I find it dope that Bronny was taken by the Lakers and it's a cool moment for both of them even if his only playing time is garbage minutes. And I don't think the 55th pick is that big of deal. However I do find it funny the Coli has multiple threads complaining how basketball is ran by rich kids now who "never got it out the mud" , its either one or the other. Can't be both:mjlol:

There's a whole thread on here talking about how this most recent draft class has "no swag" and they aren't get it out the mud young guys :mjlol:

we haven't had an opportunity to benefit from it for the longest.
You keep saying “we.”

LeBron James and Bronny James are them, not we. We will more than likely never benefit from nepotism. Nepotism is a class creation to keep people of the same bloodline and class in those positions

That logic is similar to the, “i’m going to support this billionaire tax cut because it’s gonna be me one day.”

I asked about that earlier

These NBA players collectively make up multiple billions worth of dollars, most of em black, you'd woulda thought there'd be some sort of visual impact nationwide but nikkas ain't built like that anymore

Imagine if brothas were making this kind of money back in the 60s :wow: so much shyt would have happened for our people, definitely would've had a city for ourselves at the very least

It sounds crabby and I think that's why people avoid the convo, no one wants to count another mans pockets, but shyt now that I think about it, wtf we're these brehs doing during all the BLM protest fukkery? Were they buying gear to protect people from tear gas and rubber bullets?

Kanye bought out space for a Superbowl ad for his merch, Bron and KD both have production companies and could've bought out a spot too to push literally ANY positive message the same way (if they did and i just didn't see it I'll hold that L :hubie: same with my BLM question)

Our black "elite" be wanting all the support but a lot of their moves are extremely self serving
This isn’t how nepotism is supposed to work. You hide that shyt. Pay his way to a law degree or PhD. Get him a job at a prestigious firm using your connections. Build him a business and let him “run” it. Get him into Hollywood. Then let him pretend he got there based on his own merits like all those white nepobabies do.

Those white actors are always loaded up with a cover story about how they did it on their own. This shyt is too obvious and doomed to fail.

Strong arming who? Let the coli tell it no one wanted Bronny so who was getting strong armed?

I’m going by the reports that said Rich Paul said Bronnys only working out for the Lakers/Suns, not taking a 2 way deal, and going to Australia if drafted by a team other than the Lakers/Suns. And that would definitely come with blackball Klutch clients from whatever teams went against that like they did or are doing the Knicks. That’s not strong arming?

On one hand I can’t knock them from turning what the business cacs usually do in business against them, but on the other hand it’s kind of corny to red carpet your son into the league when it comes to competition. I understand doing anything and everything for your son tho, but it looks like it’s more about Bron’s dream than what’s best for Bronny and his career going forward

His college teammate Boogie could have given us a guard that could initiate some offense and create his own shot

Would that make sense given how many ball dominant cats y'all got? Bron, DLo, and Austin alone are gonna control most of the shots and AD is getting the rest of them.....and I'm sure there's other cats who'd get the ball more than a late 2nd round rookie.

For me, if Boogie turns into a NBA journeyman then I can see being upset at it, but it not some miscarriage of justice. It's a take your son to work day that's just extended for a season and we'll see if he can work his way into Austin Rivers level of player.

There's levels to nepotism. I get people having an issue with all versions of it, but this is shrug worthy to me. I think it's worse that the Buss family runs this team in the way they do. Instead of hiring actual professionals to do what they need to do they allowed Jim to run it like a crazy person and now Jeanie is allowing Kobe's former agent and the Rambis' to run a multi-billion dollar organization in a fairly silly ass way. Bron has the leverage he has over them because they don't seem to know what they're actually doing. They're running a top 15 in worldwide value franchise like it's a family surfing business on the beach with their friends.

You’re blaming Rob Pelinka over Jeanie who said they’d do anything to keep Lebron happy? If she says that and Bron uses leverage over them, then what do you think Rob can do to overcome both the owner and her sugar baby?

Nope. I'm blaming the whole Buss family, but ultimately Pelinka can say no if he doesn't want that dirt on his name

And again if Bronny is trash and no one wanted him who is getting strong armed? People only attempted to get Bronny to get his dad. So if they was gone strong arm Bron by getting his son then Rich just doing what he gotta do by saying what he said.

WHY DO nikkaS KEEP SAYING THIS?

THANASIS GOT DRAFTED BY THE KNICKS
NOT THE BUCKS WHICH MEANS HE
MADE THE NBA ON HIS OWN MERIT.

Thing is thanasis was drafted on his own merit, you can sit back and laugh but he actually put in work. Bronny just had it handed to him on a silver spoon.

Thanasis
Thanasis is 20x better then Bronny..u just dnt know ball and it’s cool. But shytting on Thanasis is crazy when he made it to NBA off the strength of his self and he was moderately accomplished on Greek league..

Just say u want do dikkride Bron and keep it moving but pushing this bullshyt narrative is crazy.

@Creflo1/2Dollar Did your dumb ass really just say "moderately accomplished in the G League"? Sorry not even the G League, but the Greek League?

He was a bad pick 10 years ago,and is still a bad pick right now. I think we all know hes not still around based on the Bucks thinking one day hes going to live up to all that hardware he got in Greece and the G League:mjlol:

Would any of you like to speak to what he brings to the Bucks today. Rather than just tell us he got drafted on his own merit a decade ago? We thank ypu for setting the record straight. But Im guessing nobody wants to step foward and say Giannis isnt the reason hes still employed.

Instead we are being gaslighted into believing that this is either a win for Black people, or Bronny is so talented we just are too stupid to see it.
People literally only don’t respect it because it’s Bron.

Huh? Players have reports of having holes in their game or not being good or not as good as advertised all the time. They have to go to workouts to prove those reports wrong. They don’t get to make the demands of not working out for any other than the teams they want, refusing 2 way deals, and threatening to go overseas if someone they don’t want drafts them. And by “they” I mean players that are projected to go late 2nd round/undrafted.. Zion could do that. AD could have done that. Lebron too. Bronny who averaged 4 pts in college and 14 at best in high school? Nah.

Just say you respect Bron for looking out for his son and doing whatever it takes to put him in the best position he could to be successful. Nothing wrong with that take. But pretending they weren’t behind the scenes pulling strings and making threats? That’s cap.

Yall had me thinking Thanasis was drafted before Giannis:mjlol:

"Antetokounmpo, brother of Bucks' rookie sensation Giannis Antetokounmpo, made the unusual decision to join the NBA D-League as an international prospect rather than continue to ply his trade in his home country of Greece. His decision seems to be paying off, as he's received invaluable exposure to NBA personnel thus far, something that is likely to continue. - Source: DraftExpress - Thanasis Antetokounmpo DraftExpress Profile: Stats, Comparisons, and Outlook ©DraftExpress

So acting like he got it all off purely the grind is kindve false:comeon:. Giannis is literally being called a rookie sensation here. Which means Thanasis couldve easily been drafted off "pedigree" like many players are. So do I have a real issue with drafting the son of the arguable goat(to some people, not me) based on pedigree? At pick 55 no,its actually a great value pick. Yall can act like pedigree means nothing, but it does. But like I said, even ifs its a pick to motivate Lebron,I dont see the problem. It should just be called for what it is.
