They take nearly 7 weeks to hold the end of the year press conference and it’s nothing but excuses and telling us how they’re smarter than we are. How delusional is this team that they think they can treat the paying customer this way and they’ll keep showing up? There’s a reason attendance is so bad in places like Oakland, Miami, Pittsburgh, and Kansas City. It’s because the team disrespects their fans and is content to go year in and year out without making any effort to be great.

I'm seeing 2 interpretations of Cashman's comments.
Some are saying he is speaking so freely because he knows he has a job for life.
While on the other hand Hal seemed to say he is asking other people's opinions on stuff meaning Cashman might be losing juice for the first time that's why he was defiant.
What's the consensus in here?

I believe the people he asked, according to Kay, were Sabean, minaya, Andy Pettitte and nick swisher. Don't have much confidence in them. The arrogance that Cashman displayed in that press conference just shows how fukking tonedeaf this organization really is. It's fascinating really.

Listen when you have the same people in charge for so long you know the cashmans the levines the trust’s they get comfortable.

They have interest in keeping things status quo. Because of the comfort they get time deaf etc etc

This organization has turned into a dysfunctional one. As long as the top stays the same you’re looking at a Knicks Dolan situation.

Things are only going to get worse and worse.
