I’m genuinely offended that they gave #13 to Joey Gallo. 263 doubles, 351 homers (the majority of his career total), 1,096 RBI’s, 152 stolen bases (5 separate seasons of at least 15 steals), and he’s the greatest hitting 3rd baseman of all time (highest ops among all players to log at least 1000 games at 3rd base). Then there’s his 2009 postseason, which is among the best postseasons I’ve seen by a position player. He should’ve been given a plaque a long time ago.

Sean Casey, who served as the Yankees' hitting coach from the middle of July through the end of the season, will not be returning to the team in 2024.

"I'm not gonna be able to come back next year because I have my two daughters at home," Casey said. "I think getting divorced a few years ago -- I have those girls 50 percent of the time. I just can't imagine being away for eight months."
Toward the end of the season, Casey told SNY's Andy Martino that his decision on whether to return would be a tough one.
"This has been one of the greatest experiences I've ever had in my life," Casey said. "I love these guys so much. It's definitely a decision I'll have to, at the end of the year, really talk to my two daughters who are still home. So I think that's a big factor.
"I'll have to go back and talk to them. And talk to Boonie and see if they even want me back, and talk to [Cashman] and just kind of go through the process and see if it works moving forward."

5 of the 9 guys in the 100 loss rangers lineup the night Kluber threw his no hitter in 2021 ended up Yankees. Texas dumped IKF to make room for Seager and Cashman raced after him like how the lakers went after Shaq in 1996
. How exactly do they plan to convince us to buy tickets to see this team play going forward with a GM who has had the single worst 5 year run I’ve ever seen from any executive in any sport (after 20 mostly terrible years prior to that) and refuses to take any responsibility for any of it while he’s also built a toxic and losing culture?

I delete emails they send me without even bothering to read the offers. At this point I expect to see the islanders win the Stanley cup before the Yankees ever get it together, let alone win the World Series.
Note that the islanders haven’t even won their own division since the 1987-88 season

Short term, all I want is for the Martian to be healthy and I'll be focusing more on the farm

I said it before, cash would only get fired if they have multiple losing season in a row AND Hal thinks he can land a big fish. He’s not giving the keys to the New York Yankees do some no name geek in the rays or braves front office

Joel Sherman of The New York Post reports that the Yankees have placed German and five other players on outright waivers. The other names include: Franchy Cordero, Billy McKinney, Matt Bowman, Jimmy Cordero and Ryan Weber.
