With tonight’s loss they’re now 1-51 when trailing after 8 innings. The 1 win was 5/23 vs Baltimore. This is among the most damning stats of all. They fall behind and stay behind even worse than the 2021 lineup did.
How are they going to rally?

Cashman constructed the extreme Three True Outcomes roster.

They don’t have the hitters to get a rally going. Or keep a rally going.

They’re going to try to hit a home run or they’re going to strike out.

The Yankees are 6th in walk percentage. But 26th in OBP.

Because Cashman is a fukking moron. It’s the difference between knowing which metrics correlate to winning and actually applying them to winning.

Broken record Boone has spewed this garbage so much he probably says the ssame shyt in pep talks besides media and has brainwashed them to the point the players are now saying it because they heard it so much
nah, no excuses. I understand he gets a lot of money to be a shill, but read the room. He plays in RF at Yankee Stadium where he's gonna hear it from there more than anywhere how much fans hate the team. There's no downside to being honest. What are they gonna do? Eat 70% of the salary and offer him to the Giants? Nothing about this is acceptable and if it is, at the minimum, don't call him captain. The pros and cons to letting him walk were damn near even, but the fans needed a reason to give a fukk, as if they give a fukk now.

Imma go watch Spencer Jones tomorrow in Brooklyn. At least I can watch some optimism within the farm.

Jones, Dominguez and Arias are the only guys right now who shouldn't be moved for almost anyone.

At this point the fuçkin team better hope that there’s another 50th Hip Hop concert at the stadium this week and all thru september. Because these fans are gonna be merciless — and that’s if they even show up these next couple of weeks.

Insane that the biggest thing in the Bronx this year was Kool Herc — a DJ from the 1970s — and not this team playing for a chip. Oh, and I guess Ice Spice

Not a good look for the Captain. Jeter never spoke like that

Everybody from the owner down to the players are like a bunch of robots that just repeat the same script over and over.

I'm convinced they'll be 10 games out of that final wildcard spot in September and still saying it's right in front of us.

I just don’t understand you were with the team in 98 when the arguably best team ever assembled was here.

I understand times changes and you have to keep up but how do you not try to follow that recipe as close as possible? Add in the stats etc but who should really keep the philosophy as similar as possible.

It’s like I’m watching the fukkin Matt Nokes and Pat Kelly Yankees again.

:snoop:

This

Can't even watch them no more.

It's like they quit

We need a team brawl or some shyt we can't hit can't pitch can't steal bases can't hit for average and no one takes advantage of the short porch. We have no switch hitters.. We can't even fight....

Thank you German for the perfect game

I watched the HV Renegades tonight come back and beat the Cyclones.

After watching Spencer Jones, I’m a bit worried about him. The bat speed is slow, so he’s an easy guy to strike out. The speed is legit but I wouldn’t make him untradeable.

Because Cashman jumped on a train that was moving 100mph, a team that was in the first year of a three-peat. With a manager that had the Midas touch.
He had very little to do with that 1998 squad, arguably the best team ever.
Cashman needs to be judged from 2001-2008, once guys like Oneil, Martinez, Mendoza, Brosius, Pettitte, Stanton, Nelson, all started to leave or retire, Cashman was clueless and could only go the high-priced free agent route. A fool who traded for Jose Canseco and had Joe Torre scratching his head.
Cashman is the definition of failing upwards.

Francessa said it on the radio 20 years ago, "da formuler ta put butts in da seats, is not the formuler to win a championship....back afta dis."
