He needed to tell Hal last winter “it’s me or cashman” following the repeat of the 2010 Jeter negotiations where he leaked his offer to judge to the press to make judge look bad after waiting until a week before opening day to make an offer when judge told him he wouldn’t talk about his contract during the year. That stunt ended up netting judge probably an extra $80-100 million on his deal and he still left $80 million on the table in San Diego. You’d think that alone would be enough to get cashman fired. All the money he wastes every year and costing the team that much more on judge. Imagine the reaction if judge were to mention all the money he left on the table from the padres while he expected the Yankees to make a serious effort after talking to Hal. That’d be some pressure.
Red Sox fan feels pity for Yankee fans now. That’s how bad things have gotten with how this organization operates and treats its fans. This goes beyond the level of browns fan feeling bad for ravens or steelers fans.
He has the leverage to get both of them canned and the old guard like Posada and Jeter will back him up since Cashman fùcked both of them over at the tail end of their careers. Now, Jorge should’ve put pride aside and retired, but what’s done is done.
What’s obvious is that this team can’t cry about getting fućked by the cheating ass Astros anymore and it’s time to cut their losses. A decent amount of this shyt didn’t work. They held onto Gary too long, Stanton has been ehhhh for the kind of cash he’s hauling in, pitching has longtime been a black hole of misery + there needs to be a clear distinction between the small ball guys and the sluggers.
And if y’all gon have this farm system stockpiled then used these bozos or package them up for someone who will make a contender less of a threat. No damn way the Orioles should be looking at the postseason. These bums were the yearly punching bag just like the damn Twins
