Same reason they can’t get position players to hit well. No accountability, no leadership, and no vision for the future. Just a bunch of yes men who tell the GM whatever he wants to hear while he tells himself “he’ll figure it out and our luck will change”It’s August 15 and as I’m typing this, Luis Severino has completed the 1st inning of tonight’s start allowing 3 runs.
His ERA is now 8.35.
He was clocked at 97 mph with his fastball in that inning.
Clearly the stuff is there.
For his own mental health, I feel like he shouldn’t even pitch anymore this season.
Someone said he’s going to sign with the Dodgers in the off-season and he’s going to bounce back and look like an absolute stud in 2024.
It wouldn’t surprise me at all.
He needs to get out of New York. And the Yankees need to figure out why they can’t get the most out of so many gifted pitchers.
I think Sevy survives till the 3rd and then just gets left out there to die.
Next season Yankees gon
go with this same shyt team
next year?
Frankly Aaron Judge needs to make a stink about this with ownership.
I’d keep it out of the media if I were him unless nothing changes.

Normally I don’t endorse a guy going mid 2000’s Kobe in the media where he calls people out by name and then demands a trade to a contender if the team won’t make big changes, but this owner clearly lied to him about his intentions and willingness to compete. Judge 100% needs to get in front of the camera this winter and say “fix this shyt or trade me. I don’t care which of the two”. It’ll also pressure the fans to get more hostile with ownership and the front office, which might force the league office to step in and tell Hal he’s gotta do something.Nah fukk that...Judge gotta go nuclear with it. I believe one of the reasons this shyt has settled and continues is because Judge is too nice to stir shyt up. If management upset Judge, that will definitely cause a chain reaction with fans that they would have no choice to answer.

I can agree with both of you.Normally I don’t endorse a guy going mid 2000’s Kobe in the media where he calls people out by name and then demands a trade to a contender if the team won’t make big changes, but this owner clearly lied to him about his intentions and willingness to compete. He needed to tell Hal last winter “it’s me or cashman” following the repeat of the 2010 Jeter negotiations where he leaked his offer to judge to the press to make judge look bad after waiting until a week before opening day to make an offer when judge told him he wouldn’t talk about his contract during the year. That stunt ended up netting judge probably an extra $80-100 million on his deal and he still left $80 million on the table in San Diego. You’d think that alone would be enough to get cashman fired. All the money he wastes every year and costing the team that much more on judge. Imagine the reaction if judge were to mention all the money he left on the table from the padres while he expected the Yankees to make a serious effort after talking to Hal. That’d be some pressure.I can agree with both of you.
There's just a part of me that prefers to keep it in-house.
But Judge is basically the straw that stirs the drink. Him or Cole.
Sometimes I think the drama can get out of hand when it comes to the NY media but maybe you're right.
Maybe something drastic has to happen to get out from this 25 year Cashman spell.
