Houston Astros are self destructing in the 4th :mjlol:
Word? :umad:

15 Yankees runners left on base
11 walks
Stanton 0-6
Judge 0-5

Urquidy first start in 3 months went fairly well considering Alvarez error sparked the only big inning NY had

See you putos next month in the Juice box :pachaha:

I’m wondering if the Yankees pitching philosophy ruins pitchers.

Whatever they’re doing doesn’t seem to help.
Even as good as Cole has been, he doesn’t look at dominant as he did in Houston.

Rodon looked fantastic in San Francisco. He looks like a bum now.

Sonny Gray has looked better on Oakland, Cincy and Minnesota than he ever did in New York.

There are probably more examples
the philosophy is THIRD TIME THROUGH THE LINEUP? YIKES!, not realizing that they're setting up their pitchers to have a low ceiling, all because they wanna fire up the pen.

Can you think of any pitcher who was AS GOOD or better from the point that he joined the Yankees in the last 20-25 years?

Mike Mussina - better in Baltimore
Roger Clemens - better in Toronto
Kevin Brown - better in Los Angeles
Javier Vazquez - better in Montreal
Randy Johnson - better in Arizona

that's just adding to the other guys I mentioned in the earlier comment.

It's supposed to just be a coincidence for 25 years?

Not to mention ruining every pitching prospect in the last 25 years. Add deivi to the list. He’s been DFA’d now. It just amazes me that an owner like Hal so bent on keeping costs down won’t get rid of a GM who ruins every prospect to come through the farm. Also with Rodon going on the 15 day DL he’s probably done for the year. CC had knee troubles here too and Burnett had a good 2009 here but then posted an ERA in the mid 5’s the last 2 years of his deal.
