I say Boone sucks a lot, but I can’t blame him at all here. It feels like they get hosed by the umpires all the time and 14 missed calls in a single game is insane. That’s nearly 2 an inning and the DJ one with 1 out & 2 men in scoring position was especially consequential.

Even that called strike (which it was a strike) on Volpe, the catcher had to reach to go get it. :dead:

Could easily of been called a ball since they wanted to throw it in.

Cashman stays.

This confirms that the Yankees will completely waste Aaron Judge’s prime years.

The best player they’ve had since Alex Rodriguez, and the best home-grown one since Mickey Mantle…won’t ever see a championship because the team owner doesn’t like having a difficult conversation.

I’m not sure there’s a more embarrassing large market sports team on earth.

Hal speaks one language, and that's the language of money

The reason why they didn't sell at the deadline was because Hal stopped it. Why? Because that would mean conceding the season, and more importantly, attendance dropping.

The fans have to stop attending the games. That's it. There's no Plan B. There's no other alternatives. That is literally, the only solution.

This is starting to feel eerily similar to the Knicks organization. The only difference is they’re more accessible to the media.

That’s scary.

Agreed on not going to games. I will not go to anymore games. I wanted the Aaron judge bball jersey giveaway and was like fukk it I’m not going to the game I’ll just buy it on eBay.

Really I’ve kinda been doing that anyway. I always see them at citifield. I’ve seen them in St. Louis/Toronto/Boston this season and last.

Want to go see them but avoiding that stadium and giving Hal money like the plague.

There never has been a more embarrassing organization than Hal’s Yankees. They’re bad because they’re lazy and would rather save a couple dollars here and there. Hal is fundamentally no different than the owner who blew up the 7 seconds or less suns to save a few million after undermining them his entire run with how cheap he was. Winning has never been a priority to him. I said all winter for his sake that I hope Judge leaves because this team is a sinking ship and his being here isn’t enough to make them good enough to contend. I just hope he has the sense to demand a trade at some point going forward. He’ll end up like Mike Trout otherwise. At this point we all need to stop watching, listening, attending, or affiliating with the team in any capacity. They’ve been awful for 3 years and been a punchline in many ways for 20 years and won’t even act now while they’re sitting in last place and worse than they’ve been in 30 years. @holidayinn21 hit the nail on the head. An empty stadium is the key. A few years of drawing 15,000 or fewer per game and Hal might get his act together. Otherwise it’ll be a generation or two of last place finishes while the team tries to bandaid fix its way to 85 wins annually.

Sevy not starting but will pitch out of the bullpen. Why decide this last minute? Why not have a real starter instead of Ian Hamilton starting?

This is wild. I said the very same thing to a coworker this afternoon.

This year is a lost cause because they’re paid for already. Now next season, the stadium won’t be as packed.
