This is what I hate the most about this team: just how sloppy they are every year. As unsound fundamentally as any team I’ve ever seen. The 2021 squad was among the most strikeout prone in team history if not the most, had among the fewest steals, was basically the worst hitting team with men on base and especially in scoring position, led the majors in outs on the bases, led the majors in outs at home plate, led the majors in double plays hit into, led the majors with double plays hit into with the bases loaded, finished last in doubles, and were among the most error prone teams in the majors too and here we are 2 years later yet nothing has changed at all. It’s one thing to not hit for that high an average or to draw that many walks, but at least have the basics down.
