82-80 in their last 162 games. 102-98 in their last 200 games. 35 times this year they’ve allowed an opposing starter to go at least 6 innings and give up 2 runs or less, which is tied with the royals, A’s, and pirates for most in the majors. Allowed an opposing starter to go 7 innings or more 21 times, which is also the most in the majors. Meanwhile Boone is out here talking about the 2021 season where they were horrible on offense outside of 2 guys, had one of the worst pens in baseball, only really had 2 reliable starters, barely made the playoffs the final day of the year, and then got smoked by Boston as a success. It’s unreal how tone deaf this guy is.

This team is in a really bad place. It’s clear they’ve lost all confidence and the coaching staff and front office are coming apart at the seams. They’re bad enough that everyone knows they won’t go anywhere and will likely miss the playoffs, are not quite bad enough that the owner will wake up and realize shyt needs to change or even sell at the deadline, and have a roster full of old players who suck and are getting worse while there are very few players under 30 and only 2-3 guys on the whole team who might get better. There’s also little if anything that would make someone want to see this team play right now. They’re the 2013 and 2014 teams without the draw of Jeter and Mariano’s final season for us all to see one last time. They’re gonna end up wasting Cole and Judge unless they decide to eat these bad contracts and put together a few straight off seasons that are 2008 level ambitious. That ballpark needs to be about as barren as it was in the early 90’s for the foreseeable future. Maybe then Hal will wake up.

It’s clear as day Rodon is gonna be one of those signings where he’s oft injured and when he’s healthy it won’t be long enough to get into a groove his whole Yankee career.

That seems about as obvious as it can get

This is amazing.

The Yankees needed to sweep the Angels to make them demoralized about the 2nd half and more likely to give up on the season and therefore trade Ohtani.

Instead, they're going to be swept by the Angels.

That tweet above by Ken Rosenthal that the Yankees may look to manage costs and avoid an Ohtani trade may be legitimate. But it may also be something leaked by Yankees management to save face after losing the first two games of the series to LAA.

:mjlol:

If you can take your emotions out of this for a little bit, it's comical how bad the Yankees are being run at the moment.

Any true Yankee fan who follows this knows they’re lying.

The next home stand is gonna be vicious if they keep this up. The only reason why we’re not 20 out is because Tampa crashed back to Earth

That's this weekend against the bum-ass Royals which could be a tossup of a series, and then the Mets.
