Was talking to one of my best friends today. Met dude in 2007, we started in the IT field together making 40-50k. He was married then and I was ripping and running. We both have made good money since, he's had 2 kids, Ive been single for most part. So he's kind of lived vicariously thru me. I always send him pics of my chicks, cars and tell him stories. We both love cars. Had not saw my boy in about 5 years up until 2 weeks ago, when we hungout and had an AWESOME time. With him being married and living far away. Dude told me today....

"bruh you gave me life that day, I really needed that. . I'm not happy, i'm not living. We all were fed that be a good man, be a good family man BS, but never get married dude. If I would have known I was going to be making this type of money, I wouldve never got married. I took a major L getting married, I make 150k and I'm broke. Everything I do is for my family. Sacrifice after sacrifice, bill after bill. I make 150k and drive a compact car so my wife and kids can have it all. And they dont really appreciate me or my work and sacrifice. I have to beg my wife for sex and rarely get it. You going to be the same way if you get married."


I take this as a real wake up call. Dude always keep it real about how horrible marriage is, but today I heard what sounds like him giving up on it all. Kind of scared me str8.














I have a great girl, pretty, cooks and cleans, doesn't go out, stays home and do what I say for most part but......

Here's the problem with us.

The marriage vows say that it's gonna be rough. They say "are you ready to suffer".

We think that we're supposed to have fun for life. The thing you're doing is raising kids. Your wife gets tired of sex. You're driving whatever kind of car

We think that fun is more important than our seeds.

No wonder society is neck deep in shyt. This is the part where you do the grown up thing.

I don't have kids so this is easy for me to say, but the reason I don't have kids is cause I am very serious about this. If I can't have the nuclear family - not blended - then I don't want it at all.

You guys are way too young to be so bitter.

They have to travel more, that's all. They are only used to what they see. I never in my life thought I'd see a positive, educated and uplifting Black city with zero racism until I visited Tuskeegee Alabama. I thought I was in a parallel universe for a moment. I know we can do better as a people cause I've seen it. It just sucks that there are so few examples known to the general public and not talked about by our 'leaders'.

I can see how homie got caught. Problem is you can start a relationship and get married to a women who's financially "on your level", but due to gender dynamics she can throw that role away whenever she wants..

These women want to be equal but they really don't want to be equal.

That's why you can start a relationship with a hard working chick, and as soon as she gets comfortable, or seeded up, or MARRIED...She can completely change.

I have a decent chick..She's studying for a PhD, has goals and aspirations but when you really talk to her about what she wants out of life..she wants A relaxing gig where she doesn't have to think. Shorty is getting a PhD but really deep down wants to be a flight attendant..

Watch who you pick long term fellas.. Choosing to marry should be a bigger decision than buying a house imo

Honestly, there is nothing wrong for your woman to not work, but she has to follow your lead, follow your guidance on money and goals. If you have her staying at home and not making any money, yet she spending all of your bred on bull shyt, that's where things will go south.

That was my biggest lesson from my marriage; if you make the money, be in charge of it - because she doesn't have any self control over it.
