We are not biologically obligated to get married.

It's a social construct and a contract you and your wife sign with the government. It makes absolutely no sense.

What makes it worse, is that your wife can withhold sex at any point. The average woman in a non-marriage monogamous relationship isn't withholding sex because she knows the implications. Any man that has self-respect will break up with his girlfriend if she risks that for an extended period of time.

Marriage gives the woman power and leverage. She can withhold for weeks, months and even up to years and there isn't one fukk you can do about it other than lose your assets through divorce because she withheld sex.

Was talking to one of my best friends today. Met dude in 2007, we started in the IT field together making 40-50k. He was married then and I was ripping and running. We both have made good money since, he's had 2 kids, Ive been single for most part. So he's kind of lived vicariously thru me. I always send him pics of my chicks, cars and tell him stories. We both love cars. Had not saw my boy in about 5 years up until 2 weeks ago, when we hungout and had an AWESOME time. With him being married and living far away. Dude told me today....

I can see how someone with 150k could feel broke if they have a family to take care of. It is his fault for not controlling the finances better though. He shouldn't let them spend so much where he feels broke, and the wife should spend some of her money on the kids and herself as well.

You shouldn't let that get to you. I doubt you'd be able to easily find a woman who will have kids with you and do other wife things w/o being married. The girl you have now is probably already expecting a ring soon and will walk if she doesn't get one.

I could always tell my dad lowkey regrets getting married, having a family. But he stuck around because he knew it was the right thing to do.

You shouldn't give up your interest and hobbies when you get married. Your time to do those things will get less and less as your family grows, but never stop doing the things that enhance you.
