I think we can all agree that these are the only men who hit KING OF NEW YORK status....

It was called I Declare War because he initially had the concert that was supposed to be coming at a bunch of nikkas throwing shots at him. He did a bait and switch and peaced it up with Nas. "I Declare War" had nothing to do with the Nas beef. I see u one of the BK Jay Z dikkridin ass nikkas tho. U ain't low. And I'm from Brooklyn too by the way.
:heh:

You must not know my history here.

shyt debuted at 18th on the charts :mjlol:

It peaked at 12 :mjlol:

Thats not the king type numbers
The picking and choosing when sales counts is disgusting.

I just want to see the consistency. They’re going to then tell me Jay wasn’t king of NYC in 2006 because they didn’t like KC even though he had the biggest album.

Bullshyt.

Nas was buzzing so hard the label paid to have The Lost Tapes put together to capitalize. They also pushed UP the release of Gods Son to combat bootlegging because people couldn’t wait.
At no point were people bumping Nas songs over Cam that year. I speak what I saw and live:hubie:

Cam and Dipset's buzz from 02-04 in NYC was 100% a "you had to be there to get it" moment. '02 Cam had the mixtapes and then Come Home With Me, with Oh Boy amd Hey Ma everywhere. Plus the style side he was poppin too. Fab and Cam were the ones pushing throwbacks the most at first, and then Cam started with the pink shyt and went viral before viral.

Hot take; I think there were a couple months if not a year where Pun could have been a contender for the title.
