Focus on getting your own money up that way you can donate to the causes that align with you.I don't know about this ideology anymore. Maybe if more black folks cared about the way rich black folks donated their money, maybe then Dre would've felt some responsibility and pressure to donate to a HBCU instead to a well funded insititution. Either donating the millions to the HBCU that is financially struggling or the ones that are financially successful

Overall Beats have a nice design, but when you actually touch them realize they are cheap plastic. And the same goes for the sound quality, start looking at real headphone brands and you'll find some nice stuff that absolutely blows them out of the water.
Got these for Christmas last year - damn best looking headphones IMO. That classy adult look. Real leather. And the sound.

I could see myself copping a really nice pair off of this website for home usage when it is late and I don't want to blast my music... These are over ear headphones. I say I have fairly normal sized ears and the cups just fit over them. Heard people complain if they had big ears that the cups felt more "on ear". Comfortable as hell, so soft it is amazing. I put on my old $50 Sony's and literally felt they hurt after 10 seconds compared to these.
You get 2 cables, one with an iPod volume switch, the other is just a standard cable. So that is pretty cool, the cables are detachable...the ear cups are also detachable - although I've never tried it, really only in case there is a problem and reportedly you could order new ear cups (the leather and foam portion) if needed.
Head band is leather, side are aluminum and solid, ear cups are leather as well.
Sound is excellent. I love them. Basically from what I understand Sennheiser was trying to step their game up in the looks department to get some of the Beats business...mine are brown, but they now offer them in the Beats'esque black and red.
Plus they are Sennheiser - if you live in a city with any type of audio shop that isn't a box store, very likely they will have them for demo. In fact I think some Best Buy's have them.
I sound like a salesman now.
But really, I never had nice headphones before and started looking into them and these just looked so to me. My girfriend bought me them for Christmas last year. She kept saying I got them for you because you wanted them, but I don't understand why you need such nice (expensive) headphones. I would let her listen to them and when her bday came around, she is pulling the I think I want some nice headphones. Haha. Got panicked for a minute seeing some priced way less, but it looks like they released on ear (vs the over ear) in more colors too.
