I see people with "BEATS BY DRE" and just shake my head internally.

I could see myself copping a really nice pair off of this website for home usage when it is late and I don't want to blast my music... I also have the Beats by dre SoloHD's that I got for christmass that are comfortable and I use them for working out, and doing things outside of the house because I am not afraid to beat them up....
That is the problem. You almost need two pairs, well fukk 3 pairs. One for working out, one for listening at home (if you want nicer ones) and one you take out of the house that can get beat up a little.
My regular ass Sony's I had as a teenager I didn't care - you would just throw them in your bag and go with them. These though they are getting babied. :sadcam:

Its one thing to enjoy music...but the headphones really are complete and utter crap for the price and quality you get.
But...again.
I get it.
A lot of you all aren't able to invest any actual time into researching quality audio equipment so thats what you buy...
...just know...that you could be getting SO much more for what you're spending on that logo.
Oh yeah, that's what I've been thinking since day 1.

I get that one would want to get headphones that are multiple times better than ear buds. I hate ear buds. What I don't get is that you can get studio quality headphones with better parts for less than Beats. The only thing about Beats is a fancy colored headphone instead of plain black.
The headphones that DJs and studio recording technicians use, that stuff is worth $200+.

LOL you can't force someone to dontate to something. People can do whatever they want with their money. Focus on getting your own money up that way you can donate to the causes that align with you.

That ideology of not watching the next man money has clearly be in effect since integration and to some degree prior to integration
There's no need to request for folks to follow that ideology because that's been the default mentality and behavior
More importantly, that phrase is worded in a way to incite a negative reaction, when void of perspective

If you're going to make donations, why not donate to those causes that impact your community, before the others charities? The concept is simple and it is implemented by other communities with tremendous success

If teaching consciousnesses is being trivialized and stereotyped, and portrayed as being tribal, then you cannot expect/wait until a person is financially successful for them to suddenly become conscious and strategic with their philanthropy towards improving the socio-economical imbalance

I think there is a lot of time you can put into the causes of your choice that will have a greater impact than money ever will. So no, I'm not saying that you should wait until you have money before you develop "Conciousness".

With that said telling someone what they should do with their money based what you're interested in just isn't right for lack of a better term. I would never condemn someone for not donating to a charity of my choice because I believe they are being charitable to causes they align with and that's fine too.

they had these on sale
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/414Cq25vzdL._SX342_.jpg
Denon D7000

for $500 one time. I was on the waiting list to get them, but it took too long so I canceled. I almost regret it, but then again I sold all my headphones and went speaker only and haven't looked back since. Now they are selling at some ridiculous price.

To whom much is given, much is expected
My point is, since there is no social pressure to become "conscious," then there will be no desire/passion/efforts in a black person when they become financially secure to seek out those various charities that are very specific to helping improve the black community. But yet we will witness/admire/give props for other communities who have successfully created social pressures to be "conscious" and proactive about their community

Thus why I use Dre as an example because of the tax bracket he is in, he will socialize more with rich white folks. So with no social pressure from the black community and no pressure from his rich black peers, will only result in him donating to a cause that is already well funded, that will not impact the average person who resembles him

The Beats Detox pros I got from China three years ago for $120 are just starting to go out. No way I would've gone to Best Buy to buy them three times as much only to last half as long :russ:

The urbeats though :lawd: Came with my last HTC phone otherwise, they go for $120. Great earbuds .

Most people I know get em cause they are convenient to work out with them.. so im pretty much assuming every single one of you nerd virgins dont work out at all

Nikka please

I am a gym rat and the only people who come in the gym with those gaudy headphones are normally chubby girls and fat dudes who go to the gym once around april and once in January.

Aint no one trying to sweat on the treadmill or do dead-lifts with those chunky ass headphones

There are some dudes at my gym who wear the over-the-ear headphones who are lifting. Rather than wear ear buds, they have the headphones. They aren't doing cardio.
