DC has been fukking up royally, and that probably won't change anytime soon since they don't even respect their own characters: David Goyer Thinks Only Virgins Know Who Martian Manhunter Is, Considers She-Hulk to Be a "Giant Green Porn Star"
Comic fans are so prone to pearl clutching that it is ridiculous. Goyer was trying to be funny during a segment on a podcast where each person on the panel was asked to how they would adapt a random character for TV/movies.
It aint that serious.

Pacific Rim was awful but not nearly as awful as Godzilla.

But I will say as bad as Pacific Rim was (and boy was it BAD)... the action scenes were godly. Up there with some of the coolest shyt I've ever witnessed in a theater.

I am curious how long it will be before they do a Godzilla vs King Kong remake. The original is one of the biggest moneymakers in the entire Godzilla franchise history and considering how badly the last King Kong reboot did at the box office I would think whoever has the film right to Kong would be open to some type of profit sharing deal.

Kong shoving that tree down Godzilla's throat still cracks me up to this day.

He repeated the same idea elsewhere, though. He also said he wouldn't use the name Martian Manhunter at all because it sounded dumb. It's not just a joke. Man of Steel and his work on Batman should be enough evidence- DC is unwilling to embrace the inherently goofy nature of comic book superheroes because they think it won't make money, while Marvel is about to cake on a talking racc00n and a talking tree.

Eh, maybe I don't get all worked up over stuff like this but I don't see the problem in context of where he was when he said it. And the fact is Martian Manhunter is a goofy name that I don't think they even used in the Justice League cartoon more than once.

The other time he said it he was being serious, it was in the context of how they were going to move forward with Justice League. And the point is, Marvel understands comic books are inherently goofy and you can make enjoyable and successful films from that. DC doesn't, which is why they put out Man of Steel. Goyer is complaining about Martian Manhunter having a goofy name while, like I said, Marvel is about to cake from a talking tree and talking racc00n.

Breh how bout they follow they own FORMULA. How bout we have diversity in tones in the comic book movies era. I like the more serene realism route that D.C. is taking their superhero movies in

It cost over $200 million to make and then only made a little over $200 million domestically which was considered a disappointment at the time (even though it went on to make another $300 million worldwide). Thats why they haven't done jack with the character since Jackson's movie.

They did release King Kong vs Godzilla on blu so they might be able to work out something with WB. Also they would either have to increase the height of Kong or decrease Godzilla's for it to be an even fight.

I can even see them having Kong invade Infant Island leading to a fight with Mothra and having Godzilla joining in.

:mjlol: shyt was childish huh.
You had the gawd Heisenberg and f*cking Godzilla in the same film and they get the least amount of screen time:what::snoop: How was Brody at the right place at the right time all throughout the flick? And this was basically another love story under the guise of a summer blockbuster. Why can't they keep these love stories to a minimum in these flicks? Go ahead and have them in there but put them in the back burner.. waaaayyy in the back burner
