My problem with your post, is that you are completely blaming mayweather, Boxing as a sport should be boycotted following your reasoning.

The fight is not happening because promotion companies run the sport of boxing not a single entity. The promoter getting richer takes precedent over the interest of the fans.

If you want the fight to happen in the system boxing has set up now, then Manny just does not need to sign an extension with Arum as his exclusive promoter and this fight would go down in 2015. It is clear that Mayweather does not like the terms that Bob Arum wants and Arum does not like the terms that Mayweather wants and therefore the fight will not happen.

If Manny is a free agent (so to speak), then the terms for a deal can be negotiated without Arum and it is more likely a deal can be hashed out without two promoters who are driven by greed. Promoters are only looking out for their own financial interest.

Financially, Mayweather at this point does not need Manny, he is guaranteed the money from the Showtime megadeal as long as he has 3 more fights and they can be against whoever. Mayweather is the biggest name in boxing and it will be very tough to boycott his fights.

Yep. Manny needs to use his OWN company (Manny Pacquiao Promotions) to get that fight with Floyd (Mayweather Promotions). What does he need Arum for? If he resigns with Arum for the SECOND time when a Mayweather fight is there for the taking then............*insert random excuses now, because I WILL be going in on Pacquiao after that*


Floyd does NOT have to work with Rob Arum. Floyd is not just a fighter, he's a Boxing Promoter and has the biggest fighter in the world as apart of his stable..............himself.


He doesnt have to make concessions in order to fight Pacquiao, as he is the bigger fighter and the definite A side against anybody he chooses to face.


Pacquiao resigns with Arum again, instead of using his own promotional company to secure the fight with Floyd, not only is he a dumb ass, but he would've have willingly gave up all hopes of a future Floyd vs Manny showdown.

Manny resigned an extension after he was robbed by Bradley (which of course he had to do at that time, because Floyd told him he had to avenge his loss and then he was KO'd by JMM later afterwards)

This will be the 3rd legitimate chance he has to fight Mayweather. Mayweather asks for him to beat Bradley and JMM.....and then they fight. Which is understandable. You cant be knocked out cold and then come crawling to Floyd. AND, Floyd has also left the option open for Manny to leave TR and then they can fight without Arum being involved. TMT Promotions and MP Promotions presents: Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao since they both own their own promotional companies and are BOTH supposed to be bosses


I swear, if Manny re-ups with TR again, he's done in my book and he's the reason the fight didn happen twice. There's no reason for Floyd to have to be forced to do business with someone (Arum) that he doesnt wanna deal with. If Manny REALLY wants the fight, he would fight Floyd under his own company (MP Promotions) and then go back to TR later.
