Mayweather doesn't need to fight him. And who has Manny beat to warrant all of this praise that Mayweather didn't beat?

Like Manny doesn't have a better resume than damn near every fighter Floyd has faced :beli:

They technically don't "need" each other but both of their fans(who have made them both millionaires) want to see the fight.

Word, These nikkas keep listening to that CAC Bob Arum ..... Let him keep fooling y all about why the mega fight has not happened yet.

Bob got no leverage in negotiating. He knows May 3rd is going to crush his event in revenue, so he's trying to sabotage it.

And we already damn well know he's trying to make Pacquiao/Marquez 5. :camby:

Out of principle I would never consider getting involved with boycotting a Floyd fight. What I mean is, if it comes down to wanting to see Floyd/Manny rumble versus Mayweather being his own man and dictating the direction of his career, then I'm going to go with the latter. To be more specific, rarely do I get into race related matters on this forum, I'm not throwin "cac" around in every other post. However, considering the history of white promoters (Don King was just as bad if not worse) raping fighters financially, it's a pleasure to see Mayweather doing what he wants to do and reaping the benefits. Arum referred to Mayweather as Hitler a couple months back, and the reason behind that is, he can't dictate anything to Mayweather. Mayweather, Golden Boy, Al Haymon, have put Arum and Top Rank into a corner that they're uncomfortable with. They've got Tim Bradley, Manny, Marquez, and a handful of borderline B/C list fighters. In a sense you can say that they've been hit with economic sanctions and their options aren't that varied.

The other thing I like is, and this goes back to the old saying about how it's no fun when the rabbit has the gun. Mayweather wasn't in a posiition of power when he was under Arum. Things done changed, the tables have turned, and now Mayweather no longer needs Arum, doesn't need Manny, doesn't need to fight anybody over at Top Rank. No only does he not need Arum, but as I mentioned earlier, he and his business associates have made Arum very uncomfortable. Think about it, major PPV event, and there's a ton of posters advertising a rival competitor's event plastered all throughout the building for everyone to see. That's got to sting! And I love seeing a relatively young Black male not only refuse to be cradled to that old white dude's nipple, but also putting a boot up to his rear at the same time. It's beautiful. Years gone by, we've seen former champs shing shoes, and driving taxis while their promoters and the mob lived off of the fortunes that should have been going to the fighter. That's not the case with Mayweather. Granted if he goes broke, that's on him, and I hope he's not that stupid, but in the interim he's not getting raped by the likes of people such as Bob Arum.

Yeah like Mosley, Marquez, Cotto, Hatton, De La Hoya... Oh wait.

Manny had his chance to fight Floyd... The deal was 40 million and blood testing... Manny refused saying he wants more money

Now he fights Bradley for $20m and gets fukked by his promoter on the daily, but Floyd's the problem?

Oh I get it... Makes sense... Not!

Pacquiao vs Bradley II live gate comes in at $7.8 million, Manny's lowest in years

It's been a long time since Manny Pacquiao's Nevada gate receipts have dipped below $8 million, but they did just that this past Saturday in his rematch with Timothy Bradley.

Last Saturday night's rematch at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley did a live gate total of $7,865,100, with a paid attendance of 14,099, according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

You may be wondering how that compares to their 2012 fight. Well, that fight sold 13,229 tickets, but with a gate total of $8,963,180. Simply put, Manny Pacquiao fight tickets were more expensive in 2012 than they are in 2014.

This rematch seemed to generate more interest than the first fight, but that may have been just within the vacuum of diehard boxing fans, who saw this as a good matchup between guys with a score to settle, both of whom are high level fighters. But that doesn't say anything about the general perception of the more casual fan out there. Do they see Manny Pacquiao fights as events like we do? Probably to some degree, but maybe not the same as before, at least for now.

There's also the possibility that many of those fight fans, a percentage of whom may not have seen or cared about Tim Bradley beating Provodnikov and Marquez in 2013, didn't believe this fight even needed to happen at all, what with Pacquiao having so convincingly won in 2012, in the eyes of most.

We'll see what the pay-per-view numbers look like to be able to judge more on this, but they did put over 14,000 into the MGM Grand, which is not a sellout, but neither was the first fight. And a gate of just under $8 million is probably about what was expected, though it is Manny's lowest gate total in Nevada in years:

I want to make clear that I'm not saying this was a bad fight or that Pacquiao isn't popular anymore. The fight itself was great on paper and great in execution, I don't think anyone felt let down by the performances of either fighter, and Manny is obviously still one of the biggest names in the sport. But this is his lowest Nevada gate total in many years, his lowest since he became the A-side superstar fighter that he still is. Does that mean anything for now? I don't know. It's just a fact that it's a low gate for Manny Pacquiao. It's also a dream gate for a lot of top fighters.

We protest the shyt out of buying tickets to the fight or buying ppv.

Im not talking all out protest, spread the word to everybody that would listen .

make it a trending topic , make clothes , make a song , make a viral video , all out baby.

Make his next numbers so low that he comes to a realization , and if it doesnt work we will do it again .

Steven A Smith came up with this idea years ago. But obviously wasnt bout it .

I am , are you ?

Its going to be uphill battle , but it is def, possible . It Starts today !!!!!!

Spread the Word.

I like how either nobody wants to see the fight or doesnt contribuite to how to see the fight.

Yall just get defensive like you baik anything from it .
And want to play the race card to save face.

Yall rather hold the sport of boxing down to brag about mayweather online.

Disgusting .
