I had a friend get arrested up once and he called me from jail. If you get locked up on a Friday night, don't you have to wait until Monday to get released? Or is that a myth?

Edit: I meant to say my friend called me from his cellphone in jail.

You have to see a judge to be released. They don't work on the weekends
