When are people gonna accept no amount of marketing can make the boring women's basketball game watchable. The only reason people even watch college is for the intense amount of blowouts and school pride that's it. Women's basketball sucks y'all, and it's not cause they're bad, they're among the best in the world but it's not ENTERTAINING. People wanna see dunks and acrobatic Layups and moves you can barely keep up with.

NBA needs to do a better job marketing the sport.There is no other way other than NBA owners and players kicking in more money to the WNBA.
NBA salaries are enormous and there are a lot of overpaid players.
It's been over 2 decades since the WNBA got off the ground No one watches it because women's sports other than maybe tennis draws any interest. It's been marketed and funded fine. Putting more money into it will not make it any better.
Because nobody gave a fukk about the NBA then. That doesn't change my point at all.
Candace Parker probably will net more from TNT/Warner than she did from her WNBA career

MLS is in the same boat and they're still growing as a sport. An MLS franchise fee is now well over $300 million. If they put the WNBA at a different time it will lose viewers because it will compete with the NBA and NHL too.
summer is the worst time for most sports. Baseball gets away with it because it’s tradition and they play 162 games. Summer hurts viewership because people are out of the house more. More people are in the house and will watch tv more in the fall/winter.

People still go to indoor concerts in the summer. The NBA and NHL playoffs go into summer and they do fine. The WNBA would not gain anymore viewers if they the season was in the fall/winter. No way could they going up against 3 of the 4 major sports.
the US ain’t the only market. They don’t play when the Women’s euro leagues play. Not aligning with them is stupid.
funny thing is...I watched the first couple seasons of the WNBA pretty religiously. That Atlanta Olympics stimulus package was good. And you had Lisa, Sheryl Swoopes, Cynthia Cooper ballin'. I can't lie about watching it.

If it doesn't sell in the U.S, it won't sell outside of it. Like I said before the MLS is growing and it doesn't align with the Euro leagues either. Just admit that the WNBA is ass.
