The WNBA needs all the help they can get even though it hasn’t worked out for them. I just think the WNBA is toast

But if the NCAA is preventing top talent from going to the WNBA then that's the opposite of help

Yea but those players are getting the exposure but nobody is following them to the WNBA

I don't see it

Especially in the social media era

If the WNBA let players come out of high school then fans of women's basketball would have no choice

People who are just fans of the NCAA will never follow players because their fandom is predicated on the players not being paid :mjpls:

The Gonzalez twins don't the skills to play in the WNBA and they were bench players in college There's nothing stopping them from playing overseas like other players who aren't going enough to join the WNBA. The problem is even though can make more playing professional overseas than the WNBA, playing professionally overseas over there isn't sold as living the glamorous life and isn't social media friendly.

i said professional basketball... not the WNBA specifically. As low as the standard is for what constitutes a "good" womens player, im sure they could play in some league overseas.

If the top WNBA players were able to take advantage of social media, and branding... they wouldn't be complaining about how little they're paid cause their endorsements would make up for it on the back end..... That's also the bigger issue at hand, none of these companies geared towards women give a fukk about endorsing WNBA players.

I'm the opposite. I ONLY follow leagues where people get paid. I REFUSE to watch NCAA sports.

What in the world are you talking about OP? Are you using the entire sport's revenue and only paying salary from it??

You really think paying every player equally would lead to each person earning twice as much as the top player??

:wtf:

Imagine wanting the same pay from a league where ESPN takes out a segment to watch you attempt a two handed dunk ( something 99 % of their male counterparts can do in their sleep W/ out a running start) only to watch you miss most of the attempts?

Can you imagine a WNBA dunk contest? There would probably be 3 contestants and it would be nothing but 2 hand dunks, and it whoever missed first would be the loser.

The game just isn’t entertaining and the only ones that don’t realize this are the insufferable lesbians of the league
