the best coast
Drake, Cole, Sean, Gambino, Lupe, Cudi, Chance

breh :dead:

read this list again and tell me what exaclty the genre would be missing that i should be thanking god for kanye

a couple hot singles from drake, a few sharp verses from lupe

cole :scusthov: sean :scusthov: cudi :camby:

wont even speak on gambino and chance

lupe is one of the most gifted rappers of to touch a mic. thats just blasphemous to say. ive never really listened to krs-one in my life and plan on avoiding him but i dont question his significance to the genre.

the other ones... i mean... whatever breh :manny:

everyone brings something, regardless if you like them or not

i fukk with cole and gambino pretty heavy though
yet it was said :francis:

I don't know how else to tell you. I literally NEVER listen to any of those guys' music. Not once. I can go outside and hear Drake, which is fine. But I never play his music of my own accord. It just doesn't happen.

And the others are so garbage I would probably leave whatever spot was playing their music. Luckily for me, that never happens.

how can you be a true critic if you haven't heard their music :what: you just sound ignorant. this post really invalidates anything you have to say in this thread. if you don't listen to their music you can't objectively talk about it. all you have is.. "well i don't like it so they suck" real mature :camby:

Barely tolerable on the mic? Word? :mjpls:

I've seen many rappers live, and Kanye puts on a better show than most of em. His mic presence and charisma are second to few. This idea that he isn't a great rapper is a joke to me, honestly.

He just doesn't do it lyrically for me no live performance is gonna change that opinion. No one is debating that he puts on a hell of a show but I never disputed that to begin with.

P is an unintentional comedic genius and is at his apex one of the best rap artists the genre has ever seen.

You don't like P you don't like yourself.

Anyway that well is dry man...errbody knows there's no money in crack anymore and you can't even have a super soaker in NY w/o getting hit with them shmurda charges

You don't like P you don't like yourself.
p has been trash for well over a decade now, during his prime you are right about this.

You talk all this soundscape gibberish to mask the fact that Kanye changed the course of Hip hop.

It isn't 2007 anymore... That first John Legend album was soulful and so was Commons Be

His sound birthed John Legend, Jamie Foxx and broke Estelle in the U.S.

Kanye innovates and experiments ...this dude literally killed off ghetto superthug rap with stadium rap.

I love Mobb but they aint seeing pre-2008 Kanye.

Nvm 808s which birthed this current class of rappers or MBDTF

Kanye is a derranged over rated fakkit. I can see why u can relate to him :ehh:

:what:

I've heard their music, obviously.

I"m just saying I never have the urge to play it more than once. Sometimes I'll hear it multiple times to see if I'm missing what's so great about it. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, especially if some of y'all are raving about it, but 99.9% it's still basura after multiple listens

His experimental sound and dress sense wiped out the impoverished super machismo gangster era

You ever think hip hop would start wearing fitted/tight clothing again ?

You ever thought a biracial Canadian nikka would run rap with impunity ?

For better for worse he went from a lowly producer to redefining the sound/dresscode of a whole genre.

Not only that but he was crafting RnB hits too.

If anything he's under rated....

Kanye didn't do shyt except make a solid album or two and act like an immature cry baby faq in Hollywood. I wouldn't be surprised if he's diagnosed with schitzophrenia or Alzheimer's in a few years. The nikka is looney
