If any of you guys need a new grill, check out Walmart. They have a ton of grills on clearance. They have a bunch of Weber's for 50% off. I got a brand new Akorn Komado Smoker for $139. The price at Lowe's and Home Depot is $350+. It's one of the best Kamado style grills that you can get outside of paying $1000 for the Big green egg.

But Webers never go on sale

Are they floor models?

You're right that Weber's never go on sale but Walmart is clearing them out (At least the stores I've seen here in Texas). Some were floor models but the boxed ones on the shelf were the same price. I saw a Weber Smokey Mountain 14 inch for $80 and Weber Master Touch for $100. I was going to get the Master Touch until I found the Akorn.

Recently my Chinese Restaurant closed down for "undisclosed reasons" and I couldn't order my favourite meal. Every Chinese take away I went to did it differently, so I thought "screw you guys, I'll do it myself!" So I present to you Lamb with spring onion and ginger, steamed Brocolli and white rice.

Yeah I went there yesterday morning and they had a 2 burner gas grill for $40.

:snoop: I had to cop. Now I can blacken steaks outside and not smoke up the entire house having to open all the windows, turn on fans and shyt.

I'm still charcoal for life. I literally bought it for that one feature.

charcoal gives you a better taste there's no denying but gas gives you quick options

I made a small pizza for breakfast last Saturday on the gas grill, about 15 minutes total

I toast French bread in the grill some mornings, my Weber takes 10 minutes to heat to 600 degrees so in about 3 minutes its at 400

True. Charcoal is for real grilling and bbq, smoking etc. Using a gas grill is essentially using a gas stove outside....which is fun but...its like the difference between driving a stick shift or an automatic.

I'm doing blackened steaks outside I'm gonna video it. It should actually be pretty entertaining. Doing it inside is a fire drill.

More like an oven outside but the best part is the speed at which it warms up

No 15 minute wait for preheat before you start

I'm making ribs outside on the gas grill cause of course I didn't check my charcoal and I'm out

I usually seat first then move to low heat, but I tried the opposite this time around. I let cook on low heat(indirect) for damn near 20 mins until internal temp was at 105. Then I threw some wood chunks on the coals waited til they were smoking good and put that bad boy on direct heat for 2 minutes on each side.

I don't think it matters which method you use on smaller cuts of meat, but that big bytch was almost 3 lbs, I didn't want to risk drying it out by searing it in too early.

shyt was off the chain
