IDK what are states obsession with reopening schools. There must be major money involved for them to be so stressed about it. Its just like when I used to live in NYC. No matter what big blizzard is coming NYC would wait until the very last second to decide to shut schools down. My nursing program made me come to school today even though almost all schools in the county are closed. And they all are talking about returning to school Tuesday. Talmbout "Quiz #1 is tuesday":why: Bish will tuesday even exist after this broad Irma hits? So feenin' for money. And where the hell is my little toyota corolla gonna go in feet of water. Helll naw

Quiz!?!

When are they expecting people to study? During the storm?

I would complain to the dean.

Nah it's all a cac conspiracy according to the resident coli weatherbrehs.

This island got fukked up. Galvanized roofing everywhere. Poles and vegetation all over. Some roads are impassible and people are stuck. Homes destroyed. Full restoration of power probably won't be until New Years..shyt maybe Spring. To top it all off, many of the towers are gone so cell reception is severely limited. I'm in the country side of the island and my tower is still up so I'm getting connectivity (albeit bad during the day).

4 fatalities. 45 seriously injured. Went into town today and managed to get 5 gallons of fuel and some food. I have a generator (I can power appliances, and my water pump) and my place is intact. I'm very lucky.

Gotta assess my company's network (telecommunications/fiber) and perform a welfare check on one of our staff who hasn't checked in. Other than that all is well.

Honestly, a lotta people gonna die in this hurricane. I still got my family in Plantation thinking this is sweet. They don't get it. A CAT 4 with winds of 5 gonna annihilate some houses and debris gonna cause em to be stuck. These people gonna learn the hard way mother nature is no joke. I have a friend in Hialeah in a old as house with 2 windows saying they're boarded and good. I said yo. Chris Rock home was hurricane proof and it got demolished. Now you think you stand a chance in your old ads house ?

WHY THAT shyt DON'T DISSOLVE OUT OVER THE LAND THERE :what:
My guess is, that they're just regular clouds that form over the Indian Ocean and just float on undisturbed as regular clouds over Africa, UNTIL they hit the warm Atlantic ocean, then it's nothing but miles and miles of warm water between Coastal Africa and the carribean/US.

I did just read that FLA is gonna use the closed schools and universities as shelters and staging areas for first responders.
That's good, since everyone is somewhat close to a school.

Also the navy has 4 ships and Marines headed to the islands to help.
Also good.
