Nah man, nahhhhh

If you are serious about your education, put yourself in the right circles, get mentored by faculty, and pursue graduate education...a top 100-150 school is still a viable path to success

Yea if you don’t want real mobility.

If you’re looking to have a corporate job, then you need that four year degree.

Now what I do recommend for people without scholarships or don’t necessarily know they want to do is to go to a community college and take their prerequisites, but you will eventually need to get that four year degree to be taken seriously.
I said what I said, you don't have to agree. :unimpressed:Go keep getting into debt

what about business, tech, finance? any opinions?

btw. i have a relative who keeps track of bar exam pass grades in the DC area who has a poor opinion of howard law.

:hubie:

I was an engineering major before going to medical school. I visited Howard just because I lived close while in high school. Their facilities were trash, old smelly building, old equipments, I would not have chosen Howard if they gave me a full ride plus extra money. I visited again when I was applying to medical schools and it was the same problem, old decrepit buildings. Even their administrative offices is like stepping into the 70s. Not to mention they horrible when it comes to communication and paper work. There is literally no redeeming quality about this school besides wanting to be around other black students.

The smart choice is to save ones money and go somewhere else.

What's wrong with $21/hr job? I mean yea it's not conducive to raising a family, but Negroes gotta be realistic. Technically the USA been fukked up since George W. Bush and I came out of HS in 2003. I still don't have kids, cause shyt too expensive and ain't no real money outchea. But black folks gotta learn to stop having kids you cannot afford, especially with this bipolar as economy.

Black Men aren't in colleges, but definitely joining the Fire Department. We moving to different industries outside of construction and law enforcement. Some are getting trades like hot cakes or they getting CDLs. Black men are Geauxin back to the days of when we weren't in professional jobs or companies but more blue collar fields and that's ok too.

Is that a serious question? If you have a Bachelor's degree and only making $21/hr, you got scammed. Thats $40k/yr, you barely making ends meet. Graduates with marketable skills starting off at $65,000.

I understand being realistic, but absolutely do not sell yourself short.

Naw. A job is a job. Again. You skipped over everything I said. The job market been shytty since Dubya.

Imma need y'all Negroes to stop reading to respond and read to analyze before actually taking the time to respond. Its nerve wrecking how pitiful reading comprehension is on this board.

Of course a job is a job, im not looking down on that. But $21/hr should only be temporary because you're nearly at the poverty line. The median household income for black Americans is $56,000.

I tell people all the time, never under value yourself. If you worth $40/hr, tell these employers thats what you want. Learn everything at the $21/hr job then start apply elsewhere to make $40/hr.

I gotta degree and when Verizon said $18 /her back in 2013 I hopped , skipped and jumped.

But again...I'm not out here having responsibilities like children when I knew the job market is messed up.

Negroes gotta be more responsible with their genitals, or you gon be working 2 jobs
