Biden is vulnerable now, the GOP smells blood, any deals he's made across the aisle at this point should be considered dead. He's either going to have to hold his nuts and upset the centrist/establishment or hold fast and watch his presidency descend into being constantly on defense until he exits the WH in Jan 2025.

Yup, never forget. No one was complaining about Nazis in ICE and abolishing it and reforming DHS before Biden.

Biden is the pied piper brining white supremacists into the Federal workforce.

:patrice:

Biden was probably riding his bike as practice so he can go down to the southern border with his lasso on a horse and wrangle some immigrants himself for a photo op.

We sort of do.

It's important for the federal government to make investments in infrastructure and social welfare while the US Dollar is still the reserve currency. Should have been happening for the last 40 years instead of the wars, tax cuts, and social welfare demonization.
It’s wild how people never say shyt about money when it comes to military but everything else is always too expensive

Legislation will pass it just won't be the Legislative baby progressives banked on when they thought the bipartisan proposal wouldn't pass the senate.

And as much as y'all ar going to hate it, Americans will be happy with it even if it's "watered down."

And if progressives torpedo it after centrists voted for the Covid bill and successfully negotiateda bipartisan package they'll be seen as the problem because AOC and a bunch of immigrants will be viewed as anti-american.

:yeshrug:

@DEAD7 and @the cac mamba make up a sizable portion of our electorate despite what y'all would like to believe.
Polling has proved time and time again this isn’t true. For Christ sakes the recent political compass test on this very forum proved a bunch of y’all are on the left and don’t even realize it.

The problem is literal propaganda being shoved down people’s throats and media doing everything they can to make that propaganda seem like an absolute over the course of people’s lives. Americans are literally just stupid pieces of shyt incapable of allowing their brains to think outside of what’s been fed to them

If you look at this from a party identification perspective, this may be the case and that's typically because participants are forced to choose between D and R despite potentially being independent. - Topic: Political division in the United States

But ideologically, he's not far off if you're familiar with @DEAD7 and @the cac mamba 's overall ideology.

Polling has 100% shown when removed from insane propaganda a majority of progressive policies proposed are popular. People do not believe in the insane shyt @DEAD7 and @the cac mamba do. Mind you I'm a pessimist who hate 95% of the mother fukkers in this dumb country. No one is fukking dumb enough to want to live in some Libertarian or fascist right wing hell scape. There's a reason a ton of right wingers would never EVER leave the fukking city :russ:

We are projected to spend $7.5 trillion on the military in the next 10 years.

And yet the media is loosing its shid over a $3.5 trillion package to address a 30 year backlog of social welfare spending.

Because their owners want that. I can't imagine the amount of money the defense contractors spent on the fake outrage about Afghanistan.

Yeah, I'm not talking wholesale Libertarian or Right-Wing ideology, I'm talking their individual views on government size/intervention, economics, and immigration. I agree progressive policies are popular ( and I feel for good reason ) but that portion of the electorate is still only showing up in presidential general elections and not in mid-terms or local election cycles.

Which doesn't translate into enough progressive leverage in local government or Congress.

Piss poor messaging from Democrats, their #1 biggest issue. And for the longest I struggled to understand how that could have continued to be the case after the 08 Obama campaigned established the digital and engagement blueprint for Dems to run with. I finally realized that centrist/establishment Democrats don't want to improve messaging because they'll lose their foothold on the party to the progressives.
